Hockey was my primary sport - plus I played in like 3 different baseball leagues, so missing a night league game was no big deal.

A cheapshot is a cheapshot. Those who 'stick up for it' are opportunistic scum. Barre will probably miss the playoffs due to a player with a known record of this.

Being on the wrong side of an argument out of loyalty still puts you on the wrong side. I get loyalty to your players, but this was egregious for a player with a history of shitty plays. Sticking up for him just makes you an *******. It would be far more 'brave' to call it like it is. Wrong.

You're talking about the coach who said Roy didn't respect the game because he pulled his goalie with 3 minutes left in the game and the very next game 2 days later pulled his own with 2 minutes left in the game. Integrity isn't high on his list.

NHL....is this who you want representing your league???

Cooke is a dirty *******, but it is entertaining that a team that once employed Claude Lemieux is complaining about cheap shots. lol

Also a team that had a player paralyzed by a dirty player. Just because there are numerous dirty players in a league doesn't make any dirty play any less dirty.

I'm not arguing in favor of Cooke or anyone else. Just saying that fans hate players like this...unless they play for their team. Avs fans loved Lemieux. Leafs fans loved Domi. Flyers fans loved Schultz, etc. It is what it is.
