Im not happy. Add the fact that the vegas minny game went to OT...Like WTF Avs.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Also, the trades the Avs made are proving to be stupid. Soderberg looks old and slow. Nemeth looks lost. Dubnyk blows and has for his entire career. Would've been better off sticking with JoJo as the #2 and calling up depth forwards and defensemen as needed who at least have something to prove and will play as such. Can't stand watching Soderberg meander his way through games.

Because this is the Avs/NHL thread....I'll simply say that my Blackhawks have been fools for not actually rebuilding. Kane isn't what he was. Toews was always overrated and just missed a whole year.

Front offices that deceive themselves just end up punishing the fans.

In other non-Avs NHL news, this Tom Wilson Rangers/Caps thing is the best thing that's happened to the NHL all year. That opening faceoff fight last night lit up my twitter feed like no NHL content ever has in the decade plus I've used that site.

Tom Wilson should never be allowed to play in the NHL again.

Wilson seems like a symptom of the NHL basically getting rid of enforcers. If every team still had a total goon/enforcer on their roster, guys like Wilson would be policed and by them and not get away with all the crap he does. In today's NHL he can basically throw cheap shots with little repercussion. Banning him is certainly one way to go, but that Rangers/Caps game last night did give me some nostalgia about the way things used to be. Maybe this way is better, I'm not an NHL expert by any means, but I have to imagine the NHL probably doesn't hate all the attention/publicity they got last night.

At times I miss the days of guys like Scott Parker and Donald Brashear, but I prefer the game the way it is today. Today's NHL is faster and full of more skilled players. Guys like Cale Makar wouldn't have survived the 1990s NHL.

That was a nail bitter. Plus it really wasn't a good game from our 1st line guys. But Grub came through and so did the guys that scored.

I was angry the entire game, even with the lead. We were lazy. Afraid to hit or get it. Everyone was just getting rid of the puck right away without looking. Landy was really lazy. On a change and in our zone on the pk at the end. No one wanted to move their feet.

Gladnwe.got the win. Id like home ice for all playoffs, but stl has played us real tight lately. So has minny. Vegas is the team to beat tho they are real good!

I watched the first period and went to bed. Those 9pm starts kill me.

If the Avs win out, they win the President's Trophy. That'll be huge. I hope the Kings take the last two games off and the Avs bring the heat. The final two tune-up games before the playoffs. Gotta win.

Just saw this, I hope it's not too serious and they are being careful.

It was his foot/ankle. I saw it. He hobbled to the bench. Not ideal timing nor the person we want this to happen to. Oh well. Finally they are getting Kadri a good line and he is playing well again. Kadri cannot make players around him better. He has to be on a good line and then he does well. He and Buro and Newhook are starting to heat up. Newhook 3games 3pts. Some of the assists have been easy, but so what, points are points. I like that line a lot more than Josty taking C.

    Big line.
    Kadra, newhook, buro
Then they can sort the 3 and 4 with Val, donskoi, JT, TJ, soda, etc.

    Kadri sucks.

If Mack isn't back for the playoffs this team goes nowhere.
