I hope they figure out this whole playing defense thing.

They have a lot of young bucks on the team, some rising talent at defense, hope it pays off.

Their defense looked great at times the offense was anemic. They just need more depth.

I am just worried about how many times the seem to be way outshot.

Maybe that is in part to lack of offense controlling the puck, but just seems so many times that there is like a million shots up on our goalie.

Isn't that the Avs way? Seems like they're outshot every game.

They need to change that way.

It has been. It's improving though. That's about all you can ask.

It was rough to enter the playoffs with second string goalie (and end on 3rd string) and minus the number 1 defenseman.

I just remember that even during the Avs championship years, they always seemed to be outshot. I might be wrong, but that's my memory.

Longtime Colorado Avalanche broadcaster Mike Haynes has resigned from Altitude Sports, according to BSN Denver.

Haynes was the play-by-play broadcaster for Avs games on television since the 2005-06 season, working alongside color commentator Peter McNab. Prior to moving to television, Haynes had been the team’s radio play-by-play man since the franchise moved to Denver in 1995.

In October 2007, he was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. He continued broadcasting Avalanche games until undergoing an operation April 10, 2008. Though he missed the playoffs, he returned to the microphone for the 2009 season.

Ill be watching this more than TNF. I hate the wild and last year we lit them the F up! I hope we continue that trend go all washington Caps on them.

It's a contract year for Mikko. I've got high hopes for that line.

They LOVE him. He and Mack are their two un-tradeables.
