They're finally getting some publicity. After watching them last night, I really like the free agent pickups of Donskoi, Burakovsky (sp?), and Kadri.

Kadri is a much better skater than I expected. I am so so so pumped about him and having two legit lines. We are stacked! I really think this season will depend upon the goaltending. If that stays strong then we are a legit contender. The good news is our defense is now a strength, which is like saying the broncos have a franchise qb. I still am not used to it. Feels funny, but feels oh so good.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Nichushkin was a good pickup too. Cheap, and had a pretty damn good game last night.

Is burakovsky the guy from the Caps? The one who has all the tools but just never really put it together? Sometimes he would light it up for them and others just disappear?
If that is the guy I am thinking of, it will be real interesting to see how he plays with us.

Yes, that's the guy. He looked like wet dogshit in preseason, but last night was pretty ok. Hope he works out.

I wonder if it is laziness. Remember Tyler arnosen? Super talented with a snipe, but he was the laziest pos ever. He could have been so good but was lazy. I wonder if that is Bura or if maybe just a change in scenery.

He was a first round pick, but couldn't ever put it together. Watching him with the Caps was like watching a baby deer try to run at times.

This is some seriously sloppy hockey... Same thing happened the first game... great start and then just total fizzle and let the other team dictate.

    Seeing some leadership from Girard.

I hope Jost puts it all together this year.

2-0 is a good way to start a season.
