It's possible. On one hand, you don't draft a kid like that fourth overall so that he can sit. On the other hand, as weird as it is to say, the Avs are stacked on defense. You never know what'll happen.

I like him too. He looked good in limited duty in 2017, but he didn't flash much when he did play last season.

Next year there may be more minutes for Byram. Who knows for example what will happen with Zadarov, his deal is only 1 year.

That is weird to say... It's amazing how much stuff can change in 2-3 years. It's also strange to think it's entirely possible that our weakest link defensively could be goalie.

I like Grubs a lot, but he's streaky as hell. Hopefully he take a step with his consistency.

Agree on Gru. If nothing else, he stood on his head in the playoffs and absolutely deserves a chance to be the #1 guy in CO. I think he'll be fine though. I still worry about physicality on defense, especially playing against bigger, stronger teams with power guys. Time will tell.

Sounds like Timmons and Graves as bottom 2 then until Cole is back and then probably Timmons and Cole. Sounds like a sound bottom 2.

I suppose it could be Barb and Timmins instead of Graves and Timmins for some veteran presence but I think I would rather not Barb.

Barberio is listed as the seventh defenseman on the depth chart if I'm not mistaken.

I was a little surprised to see Calle get sent down. He was part of the Barrie trade wasn't he? Guess all they really wanted was Kadri.

It might be an experience thing. Rosen and Timmons on a pairing is pretty green... He's super easy to call up too, I would be highly surprised if we don't see him get some games.

The word that I have read on Timmins is he is supposedly very sound defensively and overall very aware so maybe having a vet with him is a little less important.

Maybe, but between Graves, Timmons, Makar and Rosen, there's a total of about 35 or so NHL games experience...

That can't be a non-factor.
