I think you need to let the kids play. Your criticisms are spot on, and playoff games are precious. But idk. There is something there that might become something amazing if the Avs make a deep push. Even if you are thinking about next year, too. What do I know.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very impressed by both of them. Makar coming in with ZERO NHL experience and doing what he's been able to do has been awesome, but it's just scary for me watching two undersized, puck moving defensemen on the same line. They're fine against smaller finesse teams like Calgary, but against big teams like Winnipeg and San Jose I think they'll get exposed.

I'm going to Game 6 on Monday - would be extra great if they were in a position to clinch.

I think we have them figured out now. That does not mean that this will be cruise control like it was against the flamers. San Jose had plenty of times last night to tie or take the lead. This is definitely a series to be had!! Its going to be tough, but now that we know how to gain the zone and not just get it in and have it come right back out. We have a shot. They cannot seem to do anything about Mac and Miko. When those two are out there it is full possession in the zone.

We just need to get the puck out and not have stupid line changes and turnovers. Pavelski will be a huge boost to them, especially if he skates the next game at home (which I think he will).....So we need to come out and rough his ass up and bring out speed on them. Jones has been playing great in net for them. He will crack sooner than later!

I am still worried about this series. But the next series does not look much better either. So screw it. Bring it on!
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I think Colorado could take Dallas or STL. Neither one of them are as good as San Jose. If you ask me, San Jose is the best team in the Western Conference.

    Yessir!

    Here's the shitty thing:
I have tickets to the JJ Watt Charity Classic baseball game at Minute Maid Park tomorrow. The baseball game starts at 7pm. I won't be home probably until 11. SO, DVR. I'll be up LATE tomorrow night.

I am going to be camping tomorrow night, far from civilization! This presents a problem.

I ended up making it home just after 10pm and caught up to live TV in the middle of the second period. What a shit game that was.

I didn't get to see it, just watched the recap. The shot differential stood out to me. What other takeaways?

SJ just dominated the game. Gru was the only reason it wasn't a blowout. Avs looked tired and couldn't handle the puck at all. The Avs best offensive player was their defensive rookie. SJ looked fresh, strong, and fast. Will be interesting to see how the Avs come out tonight.
