Probably watched 3-4 regular season games all year - but always up for playoff hockey. 1st period seemed like a pretty good start for a road playoff game.

Dammit. Really feels like the Avs need this game if they want a hope at the series. Solid game to this point.
Welp.
More of the same lack of physicality from the Avs. They played reactive hockey and couldn't push the pace. I'm not sure what Mack's little temper tantrum on the bench was all about but that shit needs to stop. They need to push the pace and be physical with Calgary to slow them down and frustrate them. Mike Smith was outta control last night too. Dude looked like the second coming of Hasek out there.

What I expected.
Still pissed off about it though. I am not sure smith will look that good again. He stole the show for sure.
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
All the Avs need is that first goal. Get the first goal, play your game, and be physical.
I can't tell you how many times I saw Avs players make mistakes last night with the puck just to avoid a hit. I even saw Big Z avoid a check and cough the puck up. Kerfoot makes so many questionable decisions with the puck it makes me wonder why he's on the team.

rest - https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nhl...ard/ar-BBVTlUGCale Makar is the silver lining in the Denver hockey world this week.
On Thursday night, the UMass star was an enemy to the University of Denver, helping knock out the Pioneers in the Frozen Four in Buffalo, New York.
But after the Minutemen play Minnesota-Duluth in the NCAA National Championship game on Saturday night, Makar will be heading to Denver to be seen in a different way by local hockey fans when he joins the Colorado Avalanche.
Colorado selected Makar with its first-round pick (fourth overall) in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Can't wait to see Makar in an Avs sweater. I sure hope they keep Barrie though.
