Me too, despite all the animosity over contract disputes, he is clearly one of our best talents. I hope they can put the egos aside and make it happen.

    Seriously!

What dumb ****s...we could have had two first rdrs last year, and gotten Mack and jones, by not matching the Ror offer sheet.....now we are going to trade him and lose out in a ton of value....WTF!

Kroenke and Sherman need to walk into traffic.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I thought Paranteau was a turnover machine in the playoffs, so I don't mind seeing him go. I'm sure Stastny will go have a 50 goal year for St. Louis now.
Jarome played great in the regular season but looked very tired and slow in the playoffs. Like most of the Bruins looked in the playoffs.

everyone here that was hoping the Av's signed Niskanen should be glad they didn't. That signing will go down as one of the worst signings ever, he's average at best.

As for Iginla, I hope he works out for you.

He's really only had ONE really good season and that was this past year. I wasnt too disappointed when Dallas traded him a few years ago.

He isn't great defensively and he had some offensive output but only because he was playing on the power play with guys like Neal, Malkin, Crosby... Shit I could rack up points playing with those guys.

Hard to believe Nieuwendyk traded Niskanen and Neal for Goligoski. Thank God those days are over.

    Got some clarification about ror....

We are going to sign him to a 1-2 year deal and trade him before the deal is up...

Where did you get the clarification from? Also, I would prefer signing him now, then trying to work out a long term contract, rather than trading him.

Default Joe Sakic "extremely happy" with Avs' haul so far in NHL offseason

Signing a marquee NHL free-agent defenseman was a goal for the Avalanche on Tuesday, but executive vice president of hockey operations Joe Sakic said Wednesday the team is not disappointed that did not unfold, given that the Avs managed to acquire blue-liners Brad Stuart and Zach Redmond.

Stanley Cup-winner Stuart, 34, joined Colorado from a trade with the San Jose Sharks, and the 25-year-old Redmond was an unrestricted free agent who has played 18 career NHL games with Winnipeg.

Sakic said Stuart, the No. 3 pick in the 1998 draft, will add experience, toughness and leadership to the back end, and Redmond came highly recommended from the team's scouts.

From my friend who works for the avalanche.

We are going to sign him carol. But it'll only be a 1-2 year deal. And before that deal is up the Avs will trade him.

I'm pretty bummed as he is my fav av, but you can be sure we are going to get a haul for him.
