because that's the way it works for coaches in the NHL... you get fined but if you dont get into any more trouble the rest of the season, you get your money back.

yep and it's not a written rule, its a wink wink kind of thing. Remember, the NHL and the NHLPA share the money 50/50 so the NHL is happy to take the players money because it adds to their pockets, but taking it from coaches doesnt really add to the NHL its just shifting it around so I get it.

If they can return the fine money to coaches, why would they put in the NHL Foundation, which is the NHL's charitable and community relations organization?

AVS 2 - TORONTO 1

I watched the first 10 minutes, seems like Toronto was controlling the pace. That must have changed. Awesome.

Wife was giving me the evil eye as we ate dinner during the third period but game didn't turn off! Lol.

Absolutely superior! I thought he was good last year. Some of his saves this year have been off the charts

MacKinnon does not look like an 18 year old out there. He seems to have a really good sense of where everyone is and just seems more aware of his surroundings than a lot of young players. And yikes is he fast. The Avs got a good one here.

He was fantastic last year but you couldn't see it because he was getting slaughtered by his own defense

Carol I know you like to find articles all over the internet but this came from Ray Ferraro and 3 other guys on the panel that know much more about the NHL than you do. I'm sorry if you don't like this fact but it is indeed a fact. I even stated that he said it was an unwritten rule when he said it... Some people just like arguing anything. You should get ahold of Ray on twitter and scold him for lying.
