Terrible effort last night. Embarassing. When the Avs miss the playoffs by a couple of points, that game will be the reason why. Pathetic.
Another great game by the Avs. They look like they'd rather miss the playoffs than play in them. Pathetic.

and P and med wonder why i can't get excited about the avs. . .
after not watching them much while i was in ohio ('04-'09), any time i've turned on a game since i've been back they just look heartless. . . i can deal with watching a young team make mistakes, or even a low talent team that plays hard, but i have a tough time watching inconsistent effort and staying interested. . .
Pens>>Avs
To get somewhere you have to beat good teams but last night the Avs could get nothing going. Pens didn't let MAF see much action and when he did made stops.
The pens are an amazing team. If they get Crosby back full strength they will be unstoppable!
IM not pissed about that game. Its the bluejackets game I don't like. It will be close if make it in or not. We need another top flight goal scorer and for crying out loud get A MOTHER F$*&-#G GOALIE COACH!!!!!!
I ask you, what professional team does not have a personal coach dedicated to its most important position?
Everyone else does.
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
This sounds like the broncos. A young team that makes mistakes but is not horrible. Be happy you have a team that might make it. My Canes suck and only really have Ward, Staal and Skinner. The rest of the team is average. They cant win an OT game to save their lives. 0-5 in Shooutouts and 2-9 before the shootout. 2-14 in ot. Just to be 7 and 7 they would have 5 more points and still have a shot. Very aggravating. I do like Mueller though. Lots of heart and the team does not quit.
The Avs must fight till the end. I wish you guys well. I know Saccos are very hard workers. Good luck to you
btw What has happened to Duschene this year. His numbers are way down. Please fill me in? I dont watch the Avs that much and only see hightlights on NHL Network sometimes of them.
Matty Ice missed a month with a knee injury.
McGinn 2 goals in the first 10 mins!
Big home and home with the Wild.
1st star: Varlamov, shutout, had a save on Heatly that was save of the year status. 30 saves.
2nd: Mcginn, 2 goals.
3rd: Defense, shut down Wild power play, kept Varly clean.
Good game last night. McGinn got a couple garbage goals, but we won so they were beautiful goals. Glad to see Mueller and Elliot get two assists each as well. Varley is 3-1-0 with two shutouts in his last four starts and has great GAA and save percentage.\
Tuesday night is HUGE.
This is why the Avs made that trade with SJ:
You can read the rest here. He is currently the leading scorer in the OHL with 92 points (44g, 48a, +22 in 59 games).Originally Posted by OntarioHockeyLeague.com

I also recently found out that Kevin Porter was BFF with Kyle Quincey. One of the reasons the Avs traded Quincey was because of his "me" attitude. Kevin Porter hasn't played a single game since Quincey got traded.
But Galiardi was a total underachiever. I liked Winnick, but we could afford to get rid of them both. I have a feeling Stastny will not be an Av next year, but Sgarbossa will be. I'm high on this kid. If I'm wrong about him, I'll face the music, but I think he's gonna be a BAMF.
I just wonder how much of the underachieving is caused by Sacco constantly having everyone walking on eggshells. He is the classic "tinkerer" who is constantly shuffling lines and benching guys for under-performance. That can be a good thing, but too much of it can get in the young guys' heads.
It makes me wonder about the state of the locker room when Quincey trashed the organization on his way out and there haven't exactly been a bunch of guys trying to refute what he said.
