    Murray is back tonight.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Also just watching the Nuggets/Lakers game last night I was impressed how the bench played the entire 4th quarter and probably should've won. Our depth is coming back and the starters are getting rest at the right time. Part of me thinks Malone told him to miss that second free throw to position a better matchup, but who knows?

given the fact that the bench played the whole 4th quarter, it's fair to say they weren't trying TOO hard to win. . .

what was that, BTW? some seeding gamesmanship, or just legit rest after double OT?

    either way, i don't mind. . . just curious. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Malone has said that they only care about the playoffs and he's limiting the minutes of all his top guys...

It's hard to believe there wasn't some type of seeding gamesmanship going on - but it's not entirely clear to me what they are thinking about Utah, OKC and Dallas - the three likeliest first rd matchups.

OKC would be the ideal matchup, I think. Dallas can shoot the lights out and has a budding Alpha. Utah is just a tough out, but I think Denver would win.

Again. Who is the Alpha? Who can take over a Game 6 with your team up 3-2 in the series and get you to the next round. I love this young team, but someone has to become that guy. See: Dame Lillard.

Yes no doubt OKC is preferred of those three, but I don't know if the Lakers loss somehow increased their odds of getting OKC.

The alpha is Jokic - dude is clutch and you want the ball in his hands with the game on the line, but he is still a Center. I think the bigger question is can Jamal Murray show up every night? He can go cold for extended stretches. Interested to see MPJ with the training wheels off.

Jokic has a little of young LeBron in him, in that he makes the right basketball decision almost every time and sometimes the right schematic basketball decision isn’t the right situational decision. I hope he grows out of that some in fourth quarters. We saw a little of it in Murray last year, but not quite enough.

    Porter might be the guy.

i might prefer utah to OKC. . . dallas is the toughest matchup, and i do think malone would like to avoid them. . .

I mean, thank god I get to work from home I guess but I'm trying to find the best location for my iPad at my desk so my eyes aren't darting back and forth so noticeably on my video meetings!
