Hell of a run by the Nuggets. Bummed about the loss, but feels like the beginning rather than the end of something. Time to get MPJ more involved next season and ditch Plumlee, we are CLOSE!
Heck of a run. This young team seems to have a really bright future.
Getting Stoked
rest - https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ed-loss-energyNuggets guard Jamal Murray had a throbbing bruise on his right foot and a painful bone bruise on his right knee, but nothing hurt him more than Denver's historic playoff run finally coming to an end.
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers finally put away the stubborn Nuggets on Saturday with a 117-107 Game 5 victory in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, to advance to the NBA Finals. Afterward, Murray looked crushed in his postgame interview.
Murray was hobbled throughout Game 5 and tried to play through his injuries before finishing with 19 points on 7-of-17 shooting with eight assists. It was his lowest scoring total in the five games against the Lakers in the Western Conference finals.

Nuggets have zero chance of winning a Championship, they’re not on the short list.

1. With what money
https://www.denverpost.com/2020/09/2...ecial-brewing/LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The pain on Jamal Murray’s face as he sat for his postgame news conference was unmistakable.
It had nothing to do with the bone bruise in his leg that hobbled him throughout Game 5 or the bruised foot that forced him to change his shoes. The quiet, somber hurt was apparent in his voice. After 82 days inside the “bubble,” where the Nuggets extended their stay far longer than anyone outside of their traveling party thought was possible, Murray wasn’t ready to go home yet.
“It was a good run, but I don’t want to be in the position of losing,” Murray said. “I just hate to lose and nothing else really matters to me.”
If you were to distill what took over the Nuggets ever since they faced their first 3-1 deficit of the playoffs against Utah in the first round, that might be it. More than winning, Murray hates losing. It’s why he and Nuggets coach Michael Malone are so close. They both hate losing more than any satisfaction they get from winning.

The fouls sucked for sure. Seeing Anthony Davis "hurt" himself with no one around him and get two shots, or Lebron getting fouled before a shot and getting a shooting foul anyway are hard to ignore. Whats easy to forget though is that the Nuggets were DRAINED after 19 freaking playoff games and the bench failed them. Plumlee, Harris, and others didn't contribute like the Lakers bench did and fouls or not they weren't stepping up and making plays when they had to. On top of that, the Lakers were killing us with turnover and fast break points and ultimately you have to play past the refs to win. Looking forward to seeing how the Nuggets rebound next season which will be here sooner than we think.
i want to be excited about the nugs' future. . then i remember that the greedy piece of trash owner may not even let us watch them. . .
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
