Default Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers Game 5 to Air on Both Altitude Sports and NBA TV in 10-State Region

DENVER—Altitude Sports announced today that it has successfully petitioned the NBA to lift exclusivity for Altitude Sports to show tonight’s playoff game between the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers, allowing fans throughout the 10-state region to view the game on NBA TV on both Comcast and Dish Network systems.

Altitude coverage of Game 5 will begin at 6:00 pm, starting with a one-hour pre-game show and a post-game show immediately following the game.

Originally, per NBA broadcast guidelines, tonight’s playoff game was scheduled to be available exclusively throughout the Front Range on Altitude Sports only.

“It’s a shame that Comcast and Dish continue to dismiss their most passionate customers – Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche fans,” said KSE Chief Operating Officer Matt Hutchings. “That is why Altitude took this step to seek NBA approval to ensure all Nuggets fans could see their hometown team play in this crucial playoff game.”

Default Blackout restrictions lifted for Game 5 of Nuggets-Blazers playoff series on NBA TV

The Nuggets’ NBA TV blackout nightmare is over.

After several days of conversations, Kroenke Sports and Entertainment worked in conjunction with the NBA to lift the blackout restrictions on NBA TV games, a league source told The Denver Post. KSE made the official announcement shortly after.

The decision was finalized only a few hours before Game 5 of the first-round playoff series between Denver and Portland.

Local Nuggets fans who previously wouldn’t have been able to watch Game 5 (except on DirecTV, which carries Altitude Sports, or illegally) will now be able to watch Tuesday’s Game 5 between the Nuggets and Blazers on NBA TV. The decision applies to all NBA TV games moving forward this postseason, the source said.

Yeah? I'd ask for your evidence but you are so flippant I'm not sure it's the right approach.

Holy crap that was a good game! Thought maybe the Nuggets went brain dead a few times there but that was more Dame being god-like. Really responded when it counted, Morris was the key.

For those of you like me that actually didn’t know what “flippant” meant.

    Uh huh.

I want you to think on something for a sec.

I have a sort of fatal flaw that has always held me back in professional settings. Something that grates at 'the powers that be' and makes them want to throttle me.

    It's that I'm too flippant.

I remember a flight commander in Korea telling me that I needed to take shit more seriously. I was too flippant.

Now here I am, calling someone flippant.

    Think on that, y'all.

Cool word, too. I always think of that one dude, his name eludes me, doing a concrete level gainer into a summer pool in front of chicks. Or dudes. People. Like...you never expected that athleticism and then why now all of a sudden?

    He was flippant.

I love the nuggets resiliency. Great win, had the blazers won that might have been a 1 and done for us. I do hate how Porter basically has to be called out a lot before he plays well in these moments. Nice to see him come back though. Rivers was such a clutch signing for us, but this team badly needs Jamal. Gonna be a tough rd. 2 if we beat Portland.

    no it doesn't. . .

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
