The nuggets better get serious about acquiring some defense if we don't want this to be a 1 and done playoff year. Porter is in Malones doghouse for sure for his unwillingness to really defend out there. Green, Barton and Harris cant stay healthy either. Lets hope our rookies can flash, because right now this team is in trouble. If 1 of Murray or Jokic is having a off game we pretty much lose.

Yeah that second quarter was a bit dicey and the third was a mess for both teams. It was SO NICE to see Murray and Jokic close out a team together with some help from MPJ and some other key players down the stretch. Portland is a good team, so that was a great win.

Denver recorded just one turnover in its 111-106 win over Portland at Ball Arena. The team tweeted out after the game that it was the fewest in NBA history.
The sole turnover was recorded by Jamal Murray.
“I’m sick,” Murray said after the game after he found out about the lone blemish.

Nuggets are playing up-and-down to their opponents. No way they should have had that embarrassing loss last night to the Wizards (AGAIN!) with that failed fast break on the final possession. They were missing easy shots all night and it caught up with them.
Giannis vs Jokic. Should be 2 MVP calibre performances.
Good gauge for western conf teams size and speed
Final - Nuggets 128, Bucks 97

rest plus video - https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...triple-doublesNikola Jokic continues to build an MVP case by doing things that no center has done since Wilt Chamberlain.
On Tuesday, Jokic collected the 50th triple-double of his career with 37 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds to help the Denver Nuggets rout the Bucks 128-97 at Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum.
Jokic's latest milestone put him in rarefied company for big men. He became only the second center ever to reach 50 career triple-doubles, according to ESPN Stats & Information research, joining Chamberlain, who had 78. Jokic is also just the ninth player in history to record 50 triple-doubles, and only Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson did it faster than him, according to Elias Sports Bureau research.
"It's nice, of course," Jokic said of doing something only Chamberlain has done among centers in the history of the game. "It is something that [for] my legacy to put behind me. It's cool just to be in that group of guys, especially with one of the best players to ever play the game. Just a nice accomplishment."

My son (who just turned 12 yesterday!) has really gotten into watching sports with me over the past 2 years and more recently the Nuggets and I always have to remind him how special this is. Its easy to take what Jokic is doing for granted night after night, but it's important not to!
rest - https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...es-luka-doncicTIM CONNELLY SENSED something was off with Nikola Jokic. A year after selecting the center No. 41 overall in the 2014 NBA draft, the Denver Nuggets' president of basketball operations wondered: "Where are all these cool passes?"
Jokic had impressed Connelly with a funky yet effective style of play as a teenager for Mega Basket in Serbia. The rare skill set at 6-foot-11, the on-court instincts, the scoring potential -- those were all reasons Connelly and the Nuggets decided to take Jokic, even if they would have to wait a year to get him on the roster.
More than anything else, though, it was Jokic's passing. One highlight dime Jokic loved to consistently deliver stuck with Connelly.
"He would dive [toward the rim] and catch the ball," Connelly said. "And without dribbling, he would throw it between his legs on the bounce with pace to the left corner."
