rest - http://www.denverpost.com/2017/10/16...enver-nuggets/The Nuggets are close to signing veteran forward Richard Jefferson to a one-year contract, league sources confirmed to The Denver Post on Monday night.
The deal will pay Jefferson $2.3 million, according to sources. The Nuggets are likely to waive veteran point guard Jameer Nelson to make room for Jefferson on the 15-man roster, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Jefferson was traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Atlanta Hawks over the weekend, then was waived by the Hawks. He became an unrestricted free agent Monday afternoon.

Jefferson is still playing...?
videos on link - https://www.denverstiffs.com/2017/10...denver-nuggetsDuring the closing minute of a close game between the Wizards and Nuggets on Monday night, Nikola Jokic was walking back to bench after a timeout when he accidentally and VERY LIGHTLY bumped into Scott Brooks, who happened to be walking right into Jokic’s path at the same time.
No big deal, right?
Wrong.
The way Brooks reacts, you’d think he was getting robbed on the street or something. Not only does he flop over a little baby bump, but HE ACTUALLY WALKED OVER TO THE REF TO WHINE ABOUT IT:
This actually happened. And Nikola Jokic was called for a technical foul. And the Wizards, who held a two point lead at the time, made the free throw and held on to win the game.
There were only 32 seconds left so it might not have changed much, but the Nuggets had a ton of momentum before the call which completely changed the tone of the game. The flop clearly fired up the Wizards, while the rest of the world was left wondering what was even happening.
Afterwards, Brooks told the media that he “didn’t think he (Jokic) did that on purpose.” Meanwhile, Michael Malone was quoted as saying that he thought Brooks “embellished” the bump.
Either way, it was a horrible call and end to a good basketball game.

rest - http://www.denverpost.com/2017/10/24...mononucleosis/Denver Nuggets reserve forward Juancho Hernangomez has been diagnosed with mononucleosis, the team announced Tuesday.
Hernangomez, a second-year player out of Spain, was officially ruled out of Monday’s loss to the Wizards with an undisclosed illness and did not travel with the team for Wednesday’s contest at Charlotte. Symptoms for mono, which include fatigue, sore throat and fever, typically last four-to-six weeks.
This helps explain Hernangomez’s slow start to the season. He had had played in 13 total minutes over Denver’s first two games and did not record a stat. After the Nuggets’ season-opening loss at Utah last week, Nuggets coach Michael Malone said Hernangomez needed to “get it going.”

the best part was jokic mashing draymond green's stupid face with a big elbow. . .
that's exactly what the douchebag deserves for constantly trying to kick people-- no foul was called, and rightfully so. . . i sincerely hope somebody busts him in the face every time he flails his legs from now on. . . it was especially hilarious the way he rolled around crying like he'd been stabbed. . . get up, clown. . . everyone knows you're fine, and nut-kickers don't get sympathy calls. . . typical wannabe tough guy, he sobs like a 5-year-old as soon as somebody stands up to him. . . that guy is one of the worst people in sports, hopefully the refs are through with his BS. . .
Defense from a Nuggets team? Say it isn't so...
rest - http://www.nba.com/nuggets/news/nugg...r-jazz-122617#Steadily, the Nuggets defense is transforming from something that sometimes kept coach Michael Malone up at night, to one that he can now easily find time to crow about.
Malone took the opportunity to do just that on Tuesday before his team took the court against the Utah Jazz. His stat of choice? The Nuggets defensive rating in their last night games. It was among the top three in the NBA, he said. A quick check to find the actual number revealed that it was 102.5, which ranked right behind Toronto and Golden State, over the last nine games entering Tuesday night.
Then, Malone’s Nuggets made that number stand up, and then some. The Nuggets won their third straight game, 107-83 at the Pepsi Center. They moved to 12-3 at home with the victory and 19-15 overall, which is their best start through 34 games since going 20-14 in 2010-11.
