Default Nuggets Al Harrington has torn meniscus

    GREAT - ANOTHER INJURY

Nuggets forward Al Harrington left Monday night’s game against Golden State at the end of the third quarter and did not return. Afterward he revealed he has a torn meniscus.

His loss would be devastating to the Nuggets’ bench and locker room, as he’s been one of the team’s best players and leaders all season long. He’s also been durable, playing in all 57 games this season with averages of roughly 14 points and six rebounds, despite nagging injuries all year long.

Default Nuggets' Al Harrington has torn meniscus, status for playoff run in doubt

Of all the good to come out of the Nuggets' lopsided victory over Golden State Monday night, one thing stung.

    Al Harrington's knee injury.

"Of all of the injuries," coach George Karl said Tuesday after practice. "That one hurt."

Harrington told The Denver Post he has a torn meniscus. The Nuggets injury report Tuesday called Harrington's injury a knee sprain, a more generic term that doesn't reveal what ligament is injured, nor to what degree.

Default Nuggets' Fernandez headed to Spain for back rehab

GEEZ - I feel there should be a MEDICAL area for the Nuggets on BF

Nuggets swingman Rudy Fernandez is headed back to Spain today to start rehabilitation on his back. He had back surgery on March 29 after spending much of the season trying to play through the pain.

According to Fernandez, rehabilitation time should take 10 weeks. He'll work with doctors and trainers associated with Spain's national basketball team.
    AND - FROM ARTICLE:

Chandler has hip injury. Additional tests and evaluations — including two MRI tests — revealed that Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler has a left hip strain. The team originally called his injury a groin strain. Chandler, who has played in just seven games, is listed as day to day.

Default Nuggets PF Al Harrington talks about knee injury, heading into tonight’s game

    “I’m playing tonight.”

That was the sentiment from Al Harrington, the Nuggets key reserve who has a torn meniscus in his knee. Denver, clinging onto a playoff spot, has nine games left, including tonight against Minnesota.

“You’re limited,” Harrington said today after shootaround, in regards to the injury. “You can’t really bend and explode. For me, the biggest thing it’s bothering me with is rebound. But I can move forward and laterally.

he's six-foot-seven-and-a-half! i am really starting to warm up to the view that george karl is squarely to blame for our atrocious defense. . .

Default Kiszla: Time for Nuggets to let Ty Lawson, Danilo Gallinari and Kenneth Faried run wild

The future can't wait for the Nuggets. It is time for coach George Karl to realize: Wherever this young NBA team is going, Ty Lawson, Danilo Gallinari and Kenneth Faried will lead the way.

Let the young guns play, Coach.

Lawson, Gallinari and Faried can't learn how to be stars on the bench.

Win or lose for the remainder of the season, the primary goal for Denver should be the development of its Big Three. The isn't the time for the Nuggets to win a championship. Now is the time to get Lawson, Gallinari and Faried at least 30 minutes of playing time every night.

    That was a nail biter!
    Bill Williamson:

"The Broncos went from one of the more attractive organizations in the NFL to one in total disarray. McDaniels will go down as one of the most reviled figures in Denver sports history".

What a game! Huge win. Man, if Afflalo can make that second free throw to go up by 4...my blood pressure would've greatly appreciated it LOL.

Dude was pretty far back, but he had a good look for that buzzer beater at the end.

Default Karl’s Nuggets Good As Gold?

HOUSTON – After all the wins and losses, makes and misses, cheers and jeers, along comes a season like this one where the post-lockout schedule is cramming 66 games into just 124 days and it’s something unfamiliar … even to a lifer like George Karl.

Is it harder or just different?

“I think it’s both,” Karl said. “I think it’s different because there are actually so many teams that still have a chance. And none of the teams think it’s impossible. I mean, Utah could win five out of six. We can win four out of six. Then look at Dallas. I know we’re all hoping that we can make the playoffs. But everybody’s watching and it’s nerve-wracking, it’s stressful, it’s different and it’s hard. You can stay positive, but there are moments when you go to the negative side.”

It's gonna be tough, but if the Nugs can beat LA tonight, I think it becomes a statement game that the Nugs should be taken seriously in the playoffs. Not a contendor, but they're not just a "one and done" team, either.

I will wager a large sum of money that we are one and done in the playoffs. Name your price.
