Short of some nasty injuries people are expecting a 3-5 seed and a good playoff push. Who knows though? Northwest Division could be up for grabs too.

Default Nuggets’ Barton Has Surgery On Hip Muscle Injury

DENVER (AP) — Nuggets forward Will Barton underwent surgery to fix core and hip muscle injuries.

He will be re-evaluated in six weeks, the team announced Tuesday. The surgery was performed by Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia.

Barton was carted off the floor Saturday night after he said he felt something pop when he took off for the basket in the third quarter against Phoenix. He had an MRI on Sunday and missed the Golden State game that night.

However, they can’t finish like this. I have lots of hope for this team, though.

    bit of news. . .

His former Wildcat teammate, Jarred Vanderbilt, has been dealing with non-stop injury woes since high school and has had the Denver Nuggets’ full patience in his recovery. There are heavy doubts for Vanderbilt to suit up for the NBA this season which were solidified after Nuggets head coach Michael Malone told the press this:

“He’s a ways away,” when asked about Vanderbilt’s recovery from foot surgery.

Denver took a gamble selecting Vanderbilt in the second round but fully believe in his potential in a league thriving through versatility. He could be a real feel-good story a few years down the road, but for now patience will have to be extended.

Chicago: Games you have to win if you want to make the playoffs.

MO - what are your expectations for this team? Similar to what Shake said above?

Yeah. I think those are appropriate expectations barring a Jokic or Gary Harris injury. Jokic is the real deal. He’s doing things on a nightly basis, and has stretches, that compare to some all-time greats.

yes. . . baseline expectation is making the playoffs. . . the high bar for this year is probably get a top four seed, and win a playoff series. . . that's if they stay healthy. . . will be interesting to see how long they can keep this winning streak going before they find some adversity. . . but every W they can stockpile now is huge in this year's beyond loaded west. . .
