I don't want anything to do with Simmons unless Pop comes with him. They do need to make some trades so they get something for these guys. They missed the chance with Gallinari, and even though he said he's willing to come back, he's opting out and I don't think they're going to re-sign him.

I'm confused. He averaged 6 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist in 17 minutes a game for two years and you want to offer him a massive contract? What are you seeing that I'm not?

ahh. . . i thought his numbers were better than that. . . still, he's young, hasn't played a ton of minutes, and probably hasn't been asked to do too much on a talent-rich team. . . i said a big offer, not massive. . . his defense is what i like about him-- if denver is serious about getting better, they have to improve the defense. . . scoring isn't a problem. . .

so, there's a report in the LA times that says chris paul will talk to the nuggets in free agency. . . probably means nothing, but i'm surprised to even hear our name associated with a top tier talent. . .

Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times:

The Clippers have recently become “nervous” about the reports that San Antonio will make a big push to get Paul and that the point guard has interest in talking to and possibly joining the Spurs, said one executive who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

Paul also has plans to talk with the Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets, one executive said.
