i've basically said for two years now that i'd be good with gutting the roster down to lawson/faried and the current rooks, with those guys also available if the compensation was good enough. . . i would still be down with that approach on the personnel side if things are still this bad in a month. . . anyone and everyone on our roster should be available for the right price-- and i'd give up anyone besides lawson/faried simply as a sweetener to get somebody to take javale off our hands for a trade exception and a second round pick. . .
The problem is Lawson and Faried are the two chips that will really garner you something, say, an unprotected lottery pick or such.

Javale isn't going anywhere. They screwed that deal up big time.

In my eyes, Lawson, Gallinari and Faried are the only players worth enough to go ahead with a deal that will actually improve the team down the road. The start has been bad, for sure.
i would literally let it be known that we'll take offers for basically everybody. . . i would definitely start with gallo-- if i can package him with a useful player like chandler/ hickson/ arthur, and get back even a non-lottery first and an expiring contract for a bad vet, i'm all over it. . . maybe as we get closer to the deadline, we could package one of those bigs with chandler or afflalo to a solid playoff team willing to give up their late first for some quality depth for the post-season. . . i don't know. . . really, anything to shed salary, and get more PT for our kids-- if we're losing anyway, may as well collect some future assets while increasing our odds of landing a higher lottery pick ourselves. . . if you put a top-five, top ten pick with lawson and faried, the rest of the veteran depth is pretty easily replaced. . .

but, to my earlier question, at what point would you start to think that way if it doesn't get better?

Simply, he needs to mix and match the 1s and get Lawson, Faried and Gallinari maximum minutes. If that means running Foye next to Lawson, fine, but enough of Foye trying to hold down the Foye-Green-Gallinari-Hickson-McGee lineup. Team is deep, but it needs a leader on the floor.
is nate robinson not back yet?

if we're deep enough into the season to feel pretty confident that the pick is in fact locked in, i'd be good with that under the right circumstances. . . if we go back instead of progressing this year, how long you gonna continue with the same core?

    and, yea. . .

Me too - he's trying to establish a halfcourt team, you need to be able to play defense.

We were at the game Friday against the Cavs. I can't even say how many possessions Denver had with 1 guy going 1on1 and 4 guys literally just standing around and not even moving. This was throughout the game. Next to the abysmal defense, this was the most concerning thing to me. People in our area have been saying this has been going on for a while. I never noticed it on TV but it was pretty sorry to see. I am not sure if Shaw is actually trying to coach this or if the guys are that clueless in the offense that nobody knows what's going on. Pretty easy to play defense when your man doesn't even move around the court and just stands there.

Maybe the Rockies arent the worst team in the state.

Im thinking Karl and a playoff opportunity look pretty good right about now.

That's like saying we should bring back Mike Shanahan because then our run game would be better.

At least right now this team looks to be among the worst in the NBA, which means high draft pick.

Nuggets gave up 84 points to the Blazers... In the first half.

Umm...assumed that Portland-Denver score was at the end of 3Q. Whoa. Are the Nuggets playing 4-on-5? Blindfolded?

yep, shaw's outta here by the end of the year. . . not even saying it's necessarily his fault, but play like that is hard to survive. . .

absolutely, which is why i said BY the end of the year. . . although i probably wouldn't fire him before then (for the reasons stated above), i wouldn't be a bit surprised if management did decide to at any point. . . his seat is getting extremely hot. . .

Faried needs to be moved ASAP. If the Nuggets keep him past the deadline, his contract will make him as unmoveable as Javale. The Nuggets need to play off of his Team USA success the way he did when he got that idiotic contract from them.
