I don't know who I like at 11. Nobody really.
I would take a chance on Adreian Payne, I think he could be really good in the NBA under Shaw's system.

full article, plus Connelly videoBut Connelly, though disappointed in the outcome of last season, remains hopeful of regaining a healthy crew, especially with Gallinari.
"He looks great," Connelly said. "If there was any silver lining in the atypical fashion in which we had his knee addressed is both legs are stronger than ever and is much farther along in his rehab than he would have been without his setback last season. He'll be 100 percent in training camp.
"With any injury, there is a mental hurdle that he'll have to overcome, but physically, we feel great about where he is. ... He looks like he could play right now."
Of the two, McGee's continued recovery still has a few unanswered questions.

"I still can't run," Lawson said by phone from Valencia, Spain, for NBA 3X, a 3-on-3 tournament sponsored by the league. "They said it's no surgery, just another three or four weeks just staying off of it, not really doing too much and it should be fine."
Lawson averaged career highs in scoring (17.6 points per game) and assists (8.8) last season, but he played in only 62 games — the second-fewest of his career — as he dealt with numerous injuries. Although his sprained left ankle forced him to miss the last 10 days of the season, it did not appear to be a high-grade sprain.

rest - http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci...t-pick-heatingThe Nuggets have already taken — and made — their fair share of trade phone calls concerning their draft pick, just three weeks before this year's NBA draft.
"We've had a lot of conversations about a ton of different things — picks, trades, we're pretty active right now," Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly told The Post.
The Nuggets own the 11th selection in the June 26 draft, their highest draft position since 2003, when they took Carmelo Anthony third that year. After the Anthony selection, it was nothing but playoffs until this season, when the Nuggets missed on the postseason with a 36-46 record after advancing to 10 straight.

What are the league's best teams doing that he can incorporate into his team?
Sounds easy enough, but of course it's never that simple.
However, the final four teams — Miami, Indiana, San Antonio and Oklahoma City — now whittled down to the two NBA Finals participants, the Heat and Spurs, do have one important lesson to teach: continuity.
The NBA, and sports in general, have sprinted away from continuity these days. The only constant is change. Don't like something this season, hit the panic button and undergo an extreme makeover. And yet, the Spurs and Heat are showing the road of stability and only truly necessary change, of sticking with the individuals a team believes in and cultivating them, is the best way to go in the NBA.

One thing the article fails to mention. Continuity is what they have in common....that is continuity with superstars, not role players. However, the final four teams — Miami, Indiana, San Antonio and Oklahoma City — now whittled down to the two NBA Finals participants, the Heat and Spurs, do have one important lesson to teach: continuity.
Continuity is fine if the key player there is LeBron James or Tim Duncan.
rest - http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci...abel-superstarKenneth Faried is in the midst of the most important summer of his career. His star power is growing exponentially, as underscored by a recent NBA trip to Spain, where fans didn't need formal introductions to know the Nuggets' young forward.
Upon returning to the U.S., Faried said the first thing on his mind was getting better. Those were the second and third things on his mind, too. Practice with Team USA is coming up, and working toward his goal of becoming an NBA all-star — no, a superstar — is his focus.
No longer content with being just an "energy guy," Faried plans to broaden his skills and his game, building on a season that ended so well it left Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly ready to open contract extension talks this summer.

It's a nice thought.
rest - http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci...-draft-workoutIf attention is any indicator, the Nuggets really like UCLA guard Zach LaVine.
The young, athletic LaVine wasn't exactly holding court, as he was doing more listening than anything else after the pre-draft workout ended and he waited for his round of interviews. But his company included Nuggets coach Brian Shaw and other assistants as well as general manager Tim Connelly.
It was not a 'hi' and 'bye' conversation. It was lengthy.
LaVine was part of a star-studded affair, joined by Syracuse point guard Tyler Ennis, Kentucky small forward James Young, Florida forward Casey Prather and Kansas forward Tarik Black.

I think Gary Harris is the hidden gem in this draft. He plays well on both ends of the court, and has a chance to become that superstar that the Nuggets need. He's the type of player that Brian Shaw needs to run his type of system. He'd be a great piece in the rebuilding process.
