Usually, what sways my opinion is if the team wins or not. Also, the pitcher was making his first start and his dad is the coach. Tennessee beat Purdue 20-2.
Maybe if the only place Shaw did his training at was with the Lakers then maybe you could say something in regards to the Lakers, but Shaw also served in Indiana, are we to ignore what he picked up there simply because he had some training with the Lakers?
The McDanials reference isn't equal as he came he straight from NE.
rest - http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci...defensive-woesNuggets coach Brian Shaw turned the spotlight on himself in juggling things to fix the defensive woes his team has experienced essentially all season.
Too many schemes.
Too many assignments.
Too confusing.
The players made it known to Shaw of late, and he listened. And agreed. If it were up to the players, they'd switch everything, but the defensive-minded Shaw isn't about to go there. Yet he did pare down the rotations to the few things he wants done every time down court.

So playing defense was just too hard for them?
Can you imagine a Broncos offensive player saying those things to Peyton Manning?
Faried great game tonight - 35 points - edit 32 points

Shaw is coaching a team that was built to run and play poor defense. He wants to institute a scheme that actually has a chance of winning in the playoffs. He's dealt with injuries and a roster full of the wrong type of players all year long. I'll judge him as a coach when he's dealt a fair hand.
Great win at Miami tonight

I'm not much of a Nuggets fan, mostly because I despise the NBA, but I'm of the mind that losing every single game for the rest of the season would be the best thing for the franchise in the long run.
Let's Rid3!!!!
IMO Denver needs a player turnover.
Shaw's style is completely different from Karl's. Karl had players that could play his system. He plays a free flowing up tempo game where players just react and force things as opposed to slow it down and control the tempo. You do not see any teams in the final 4 every year that play uptempo - they play a halfcourt slugfst that's relevant to X's and O's. It is there to try and force the tempo of the game and slow it down. I honestly do not think there are alot of players on this team that can play that way. These guys are you used to not thinking they are used to reacting.
I'll judge Shaw in 2-3 years when he gets his players in and can actually play the style he wants as opposed to having to alter to a bunch of players that aren't capable of playing that way as a team. I am hoping he can be good for Denver looking ahead 5 years down the road.
dikembe still denying fools. . .
