Ah, my bad. You meant who could Denver get?

In free agency: Igoudala. I honestly don't think they could make a serious run after Paul, who clashes with Lawson, or Howard, who I'm very skeptical about moving forward.

I think they have to tweak this roster, right now, and hope they find a shooter in the draft and Fournier can start at the 2. So, in that regard, I'd agree with Buff on Igoudala as much as it hurts my heart (he's a UofA guy...).

Why not take a run at Paul Pierce? He's got a few years left and can provide a lot of intangibles.

No need to give up assets for him. He's unrestricted next year.

I'm thinking along the lines of Kyle Korver to play the 2 or 3, depending on who else is in the game, and Jarrett Jack coming off the bench. Both unrestricted this year, so no losing assets to pick them up.

Honestly, as I look down a list of unrestricted FAs this year, a name that pops out at me is O.J. Mayo.

Korver is overrated. I've watched that guy for years. I'm surprised you want Mayo. He's soft.

Kevin Love is going to be leaving the Wolves soon. Surely you guys would attempt to get him, right?

Not sure about Love. He fits in the two-man game, but even as good of a defender and rebounder as he is, doesn't Denver already have that in Faried? It's an interesting thought, I guess.

The reason I suggest Mayo is because he's instantly the best outside shooter on the team when he arrives. Same with Korver. And Denver needs shooters if they plan to use a pick and roll, drive and kick offense, which seems to make the most sense for this roster.

I think Love is a top ten player in the league. I also think that he has more offensive ability than anyone on your team who plays his position. He could probably could play center and power forward for you guys.

Your point about Mayo is very good. Outside shooters can afford to be soft. I loathe Korver though.

I mean, I know the Wolves are wretched, and their ownership/management is pure shit, but I'm just not sure about Love as a top player. Go back through the years and look at top 10-like players. Which of those never even reached the playoffs?

I suppose my counter is that out of those players, how many of them had to carry what Love carried?

That's the Love conundrum. Matt Moore, of CBS Sports and Hardwood Paroxysm, tweeted earlier tonight something to the effect of "remember he was a legit MVP candidate in 2011-12, ONE YEAR ago."

And that's true. It's just, he's been in the league five years and his team hasn't even been a bottom feeder playoff team. Are the rest of the Wolves that bad? Probably a good bet that they are, but it makes you wonder.

There is no one in the league who I think is better at offensive rebounding than him. He's a monster defender. He plays with heart. He can get you 15 points a night and he's not scared to guard anyone. I think of him as an incredible version of Ben Wallace. Ben Wallace was a legitimate star player, even though he didn't score a lot of points. Maybe I'm overvaluing him as a player.

Love is a great player, but I would rather work with Mcgee, Farried and Randolph. These 3 are very athletic, can all rebound, can all block, can all run the floor.

Spend some money on the guys we kick it out to and let these 3 take care of lobs and offensive rebound put backs.

    Just 15?

    He's a 20-15 guy a night when he's healthy. He was 24-12 in 11-12.

But the record makes you wonder.

    I put 15 as a safe number.

signing gary neal to an offer sheet would be the best fit for the nuggets, with any coach. . . beyond that, maybe jarret jack, kyle korver or jj redick. . .

Jack would be a nice addition but I still will find it hard to see him not end up going back to GS.

The real kicker is he was ours at one point, at least briefly..until we traded him for Kleiza and Sanchez...ugh.
