In all honesty, the Nugs and Jazz are the teams I fear the most.....One down, One more to go...
Seriously though...Houston still has a chance..They won one in LA..That's huge...With or without Yao.
chauncey stepped up bigtime. . . his professionalism and competitive drive were on full display in this one-- in a game that just looked like it was destined to slip away, he made shot after big shot in the 4th quarter. . . he knows what it takes to win in the playoffs, and he showed that killer instinct to try to bury a team when we had the chance. . . .
not this time big boy. . . .
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

"I think this is about as tough a loss as I've been a part of in my 11 years in the league," Nowitzki said.
Shoulda:
A.) Taken more time on the other end.
B.) Not missed the clinching shot.
C.) Stayed away from the chick you were banging.
What was it - Dallas up 4 with something like 31 seconds left, and Melo steals the ball for a layup, and then Dirk takes a shot with 9 seconds left???? But, OK, blame the ref for a non call. On Am950thefan, Mike Evans stated that it was either Carlisle's fault, or Wright's fault - first, for not informing the ref there would be an intentional foul. Then according to Evans, the first foul Wright gave was so weak, it really was not a foul - but then he wrapped his arm around Melo's arm as Melo was shooting - so if the ref would have called the foul at that time, it would have been a ft on top of the 3, or if Melo missed, he would then have shot 3 fts, and if he would have made them, outcome would have been the same. So, if Evans calculations is correct - Dallas would have been upset no matter what.

I see no way that Melo would have been at the line, little hometown spin on that from 950 IMO. He took one dribble after the hit then pulled up.
But I don't care Melo drained it and game 4 is tomorrow night with Denver up 3-0!!

ORLANDO, Fla. -- On the morning after one of the more controversial nights of the NBA playoffs, Doc Rivers sent a message to his team: If we have a foul to give, make sure you commit it the right way.
In other words, not the Wright way.
The controversial ending to Saturday night's Nuggets-Mavericks game was one of the primary topics of discussion at the Celtics' morning shootaround Sunday, with the teaching emphasis on having players use both arms to wrap up an opposing player on the perimeter to ensure the referee whistles the foul.
"The wrap-up also takes longer than raking a guy across the arms, and it reduces the chance that he can get off an attempt and get three foul shots," Rivers said.
In the Nuggets-Mavs game, Antoine Wright appeared to intentionally foul Denver's Carmelo Anthony twice when Dallas had a foul to give, and the NBA took the highly unusual action of issuing a statement after the game saying the referees had not made the correct call.
Among the Celtics' players, the lingering impression was that Wright was as much at fault as anyone because he did not commit the foul in the proper manner -- especially when he had the perfect opportunity at the moment when Anthony bobbled the ball before regaining control and sinking the game-winning shot.

Spin it any way you want, but Denver got a little lucky and Dallas got screwed. Every team benefits from bad calls (or no calls in this case) that go in their favor at some point, so no need to deny that Denver caught a break.
Also, there is no way that Melo could have gotten FT's from that...not sure what that radio guy is smoking.
I NO LONGER support Rahim Moore.
OK, so you feel Dallas got screwed on that last play. They had many chances to win that game, and did not put the Nuggets away when they had the chance. There were 61 fouls called in the game - 34 against the Nuggets - 27 against Dallas. Anderson fouled out, Nene was in foul trouble, and therefore, was not a factor. Up until the last play of the game, it was Dallas' game to win, and they could not.

Hmm, Cuban and the Mavs crying again? Shocking there.
