Assuming the usual scoring, I think BIG DAWG DADDY is gonna win.

    BIG DAWG DADDY
Kitna, Jon is one of the best in passing yardage, and Detroit is a pass-first team with Martz(?) making the offense even more explosive. Can't hurt that he's got 3 potential #1 receivers.
Parker, Willie, Portis, Clinton - upper echelon rbs; no weakness here.
Coles, Laveranues, Johnson, Chad, Williams, Roy - Coles is solid, but Johnson and Williams are upper echelon.
Witten, Jason - top 7 in yardage last season, but his TDs sucked; still, TE's are usually not as important as WRs, so this isn't too bad.
    Elam, Jason - solid
Jets, DST - average, or below average

Very strong in the possitions that have major point differences, and average or weak in possitions that don't have major point differentces.

Mandy's Mallers - Don't like the Edgerin James as the 2nd RB, despite the obvious strength of LT.

Holy Sheep Balls - I also don't like the 2nd RB pick; Marshawn hasn't been spectacular in the preseason. We'll see if he becomes a great back this season.

Diablos - Hasselbeck is average, and Green is in a new team.

I Need a Drink IV - I think the Bears let go of the wrong back; Benson hasn't proved that he's upper tier yet, while Jones should be productive, but is in a new team.

livelylushes - Very solid team all around; I think this is 2nd place, just because Big Dawg Daddy has such great receivers.

Team Spongefarm - Not impressed with McGahee, and none of the 3 receivers hit 1000 yards last season.

Thug City Immortals - Jackson unproven rookie; Branch had low TDs and sub 1000 yardage last season. CJ might become a superstar, but he's sharing the catches with 2 other excellent receivers, so he isn't even the #1 WR yet.

Sumadatspecialsauce - another very solid team; a bit average in the QB department, considering Cutler hasn't played a full season yet, and Shanahan likes to run the ball a lot. Cutler has shown that he can find the endzone, like Delhomme has in the past, so he might have good TD numbers and average/above-average yardage.

Pompous Petard - Maroney hasn't proven he's a top back yet; Clayton isn't a proven #1 and only had 356 yards last year.

PAYNE'S PIRATES - very good team, but Porter has a lot to prove. Peterson might become a superstar - high risk, high reward.

Bane's B-Diesels 07 - Williams might be another RB by committee.

So, my guess is BIG DAWG DADDY 1st, livelylushes 2nd, and Sumadatspecialsauce 3rd.

    How'd I do?

For me it's a toss between I need a drink and Sheep balls.

The first has the best passer, best TE and arguably a top 5 back this year in Thomas Jones. Plus you add Cedric Benson, Driver and Galloway to the mix and that's a reputable receiving corps. Steelers D should rack up some numbers as well. About the only aspect of that team that doesn't look good is the kicker but who really cares about them anyway...

I also like the sheep team with Rivers in his second year and more comfortable ought to do much better this year. Steven Jackson will be a beast this year, not so sure about lynch who has only avg'd 1.8 yds a carry in the preseason. At least they have a nice trio of receivers though to back up the RB's.

Both of these have nice looking benches as well IMO...

They're both pretty good, but KTOWN LEAGUE is just a much better team; I can't believe how you could have all those good RB's, all those good WR's, then 2 of the top 5 QB's. Are there, like, 4 teams in the league, hehehe.

    and i got chitown!

no its 12 teams and supposedly these guys are like fantasy gurus. i actually paid to be in this one and the jackpot is close to three hundred. my cousin is the commish and he wins a 1st or 2nd place trophy every year. he said everyone in the league expected my team to win.

so hopefully i do win so i can pay myself back for buying a 360 elite.

Actually, I loooove who I have, but I passed over Gates for Maurice Jones Drew, not knowing Gates was still there. I picked the perfect time to turn to the TV to watch Pettite give up another homerun. Now I have to root for Shockey to stop acting like a dumbass and for Cooley to break out. And for Gates to slip.

Of those teams, I like Sumadatspecialsauce (Cutler's a question mark but the backs and receivers are truly elite). Runners-up are Mandy's Mallers (Bulger's a very good quarterback and I like the receivers) and BIG DAWG DADDY (though I'm not crazy about the backs).

First, let me just say I've been in this damn league for 5 years and haven't won yet. Been paying for someone elses and I'm sick of it. So this year I got serious ya know. I joined a garbage league with a live draft a couple days before this one so I'd get a feel for how the draft would go.

Holy Sheep Balls (who I think has the 2nd best team) and I are good friends so he did the same thing. We e-mailed each other the draft results so we could both compare. Anyway, the last 3 years we've both thought we had the 2 best teams and neither has won it yet. I think his 2nd RB (Lynch or Jacobs or Jones) is kinda weak, but that's why he took all 3 of them.

My team is Sumadatspecialsauce and I've already made one change. I dropped Nedney last week and picked up David Akers. I don't know why Payne's Pirates even drafted him in the first place. But I wanted to say, the way the draft went, I wish I would have taken a TE in the 5th round instead of Lee Evans (and not because of this weeks output). Tony G, Shockey, and Heap were all available and at the time I thought Cooley or Watson would be around in the 7th round (I knew I was taking Cutler in the 6th). My 3rd WR would have been Plaxico and my TE, probably Heap. With my 4th WR either Berrian or Branch. Either way, my team is bitchin.

    SM19 got it.
