Default Terrell Owens, Seattle Seahawks agree on contract

At long last, Terrell Owens is back in the NFL.

The veteran wide receiver agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, according to NFL Network contributor and FOX Sports Insider Jay Glazer.

Owens, 38, last played in the NFL in 2010 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He compiled nearly 1,000 receiving yards and nine touchdowns that season, outplaying teammate Chad Johnson. But Owens suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament the following April and failed to attract any interest on the open market the next season.

Wow, I'm pretty shocked he got another opportunity. Although having said that he was very good for the Bengals 2 years ago, so if he can even give the Seahawks something like 50 catches, 600 yds, and 4 TD I don't think they'll regret the signing. They are pretty horrible at the WR position.

How so? I'm sure it's a small, incentive-laden deal. If he's even 80% of what he was 2 years ago he will be Seattle's best or second best WR.

Signing old players in free agency, taking chances on second-tier quarterbacks and reaching for draft picks?

pretty much what I was thinking. Any old players need a 3rd or 4th shot, head to Seattle. Doesn't matter the problems he's had ect... he's fast.
Who can say that 1st round pick by Seattle didn't have them shaking their head? Now T.O. it just feels like Al is back

Cowherd was talking about how atrocious Carroll's drafts have been, and when he started talking about the draft moves, I was stunned how bad it was. Josh McDaniels' drafts look good in comparison, and that's no joke.

I thought T.O. looked really solid for Cincy a couple seasons ago. Guy is a physical freak. And he's been humbled by his financial troubles. I honestly expect this to work out for Seattle, oddly enough.

Maybe you are riht, but I don't think he is humble, not from the reports from the Alan Wranglers. Either way, Carol makes me shake my head

He makes their team better. I don't see how you can fault Carroll for improving the talent on his roster.

Owens has always been known to be one of the hardest working players on the practice field. He was pretty damned good a couple seasons ago with Cinci. He probably should have pointed that out to Miami, and gone there to be opposite of Och...excuse me... Chad Johnson again.

Watched the game the other night, he dropped some easy passes as usual. Couldnt of happened to a better guy.
