Thread: Official Broncos Forums Fantasy Football League 2012

Hello & welcome everyone! This is the forum's official fantasy league, and is open to all members.

The league will be separated into two (2) conferences, the Eastern Conference (run by SeeingRed) & the Western Conference (run by myself). The conferences will function as independent leagues (each conference will have it's own draft, draft time & date, pool of players, etc), and the overall league champion will be the conference winner that scores the most points in the championship game in week sixteen. Everyone who "registers" in this thread is welcome to play as long as we have even numbers to make the conferences, but it's going to be on a first-come first serve basis, so if you want to play in 2012, post in this thread.

August 19, 2012 will be the registration deadline, so if you want in, now's the time to sign up! We had 20 participants last year, but there is always room for more. We will keep the league size to 20 and if we get past twenty entrants I will keep a running tally and update-- we can accommodate as many as want to play, as long as we have even numbers that can easily be broken into multiple conferences (20, 24 30 etc).

Once there is a final list, each participant will be randomly placed into a conference, and then we'll send out invites and get everything set up (draft date, draft time). Since each conference will have its own draft, I won't be able to give you draft dates until we know who's in which group. Each conference will follow the exact same rules, which will be as follows (same rules as last year, for those who participated):


This is a standard head-to-head style league-- when I know the size of each conference, I'll let you know how many teams will make the playoffs. Week 16 will be the championship. We'll do a live, online draft-- 18 rounds, snaking each round. We'll be using fleaflicker again this year.

Passing

1 point for every 50 Passing Yards
2 extra points when total Passing Completions is greater than or equal to 30
1 extra point when total Passing Yards is greater than or equal to 300
2 extra points when total Passing Yards is greater than or equal to 400
3 extra points when total Passing Yards is greater than or equal to 500
2 points for every Two-Point Conversion Passing
6 points for every Passing TD
1 extra point for every Passing TD between 40 and 79 yards (inclusive)
3 extra points for every Passing TD of 80 or more yards
-2 points for every Interception

Rushing

1 point for every 10 Rushing Yards
2 extra points when total Rushing attempts is greater than or equal to 30
1 extra point when total Rushing Yards is greater than or equal to 100
2 extra points when total Rushing Yards is greater than or equal to 150
4 extra points when total Rushing Yards is greater than or equal to 200

Hopefully more people sign up this year, it was tough to get to 20 people last year.

Yeah it was, but to be honest I wouldn't be upset if we capped at 16

we need at least 10 per, any less & it's gonna be lame.

Just saying if we can't get more than 16, I wouldn't be mad. I'd rather play in an eight team league than nothing at all

I've never Played fantasy football, I signed up for a league just to test it out. If you need more people I'll sign up. I'm always lurking here

Do you do automated drafts or live drafts

Last two years were live

Yea they are live drafts, but if for some reason you cant make the draft, you can rank players & it will automatically select your team based on your rankings. So it's kind of both actually.

I haven't made the live draft either of the last two years. Maybe the last three years? I don't know. I've not made any of the live drafts at all. I tried in 2009, but I was in GA and the hotel wifi was giving me fits so I gave up. Last year I was fishing. I don't know about 2010.
