Nas is good as far as mainstream goes. I am really digging The Don
He may be close to making the most money, but he's not the best. Even on his own tracks.

Oh, and all of you talking bad about rap and hip hop, y'all can go eat a bowl of dicks.
I will admit that it's about 50/50 right now. For every Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne that exist, there's a J-Live or Clear Soul Forces that make things better. There is a good resurgence of hip-hop coming no matter what groups like Odd Future make you want to think.
This is excellent right here:
I like that. I was always cool with De La Soul, Mos Def...guys like that. You wanna get up and rap about life and be civil about it...I'll listen. But as soon as you make a video where you are throwing money on the floor and driving insanely expensive cars and rapping about how great you are or how you'r going to cap someone...forget it. I have no time for that crap.
I'm a metal fan and the same rules apply there. if the only thing you can sing about is how Satan rules, I lose interest. Some bands are completely one track and it gets boring and annoying after awhile. If the music is outstanding, I may stick with it awhile, but if not...EJECT.
I'm jamming to the Sugar Hill Gang right now.
Best rap line of all time "I love ya like a fat kid love cake."
Makes me misty
Let's Rid3!!!!
Nah, you just aren't looking in the right places. Death Grips, Das Racist, Shabazz Palaces, Kanye West, Clams Casino, Why?, Mos Def, Outkast, Mos Def, Childish Gambino, etc.Originally Posted by CoachChaz
I like the golden age of hip hop and all, but alot of it is so damn boring man. Especially compared to newer rap. Older doesn't mean better.
