Thread: Top free agents left on the market

In March, our free agency coverage involved a list of the top-100 available players, nicknamed the “PFT Hot 100.” All but 12 of those free agents are now accounted for. One of them was restricted free agent Mike Wallace, the Steelers’ wide receiver who wants big bucks.

We’ve since reassessed a bit and learned more about the players left on the market. With those reevaluations in mind, here’s our look at the top-ten unrestricted free agents remaining:

Franklin would be the only player on that list that Denver might be interested in. But my guess is Franklin is asking for a lot of money.

There really isn't anyone on that list that I find overly appealing.

Benson, McNeill and Carter would make fine one year rentals, imo.......

Benson is a McGahee clone without the burst. I like him but not for this offense. I think the camp cuts will be far more intriguing.

100% agree with that sentiment.

Could brackett add some depth at mike for Mays since I think that spot might be a little thin. He might not ask the big salary that he had in Indy. He is 31 i believe.

I think it's say to say that barring trade or injuries, the Broncos are going with who they have. The one exception might be some rental insurance for DJ, since it looks like he's going to miss anywhere from 6 games to the entire season.

Benson needs a contract so he'd find his burst in Denver.
