Thread: Just a little suggestion...might be kinda cool

One of the other VB boards I'm on gives every member a number in order of when they registered for the site. When a poster posts, their number is displayed on the left under their location and number of posts. I thought that might be neat for this board just to show who the longer tenured members are and what not.

i think the "join date" kinda covers that.

I've seen some sites that do that. It would be an easy change if there is support for displaying the Userid. vB tracks users by a userid, which is seqential, so all it would take is displaying that number.

I'm not crazy about the idea. That kind of thing just seems to become another
"status symbol," doesn't it? In fact, I think it's inevitable.

That may be but my southern belle impression is fairly impressive, so long as I've had a drink or two to loosen me up.

Not likely. It's much better as an in person performance piece, although my British accent may someday land there. That one is down pat.
