Karl talks about a lot of things - he really likes Coach McD, and he also talks about Floyd getting in the HOF, and the other Broncos he feels are deserving, and why he does not feel he will make it.

Elway Hero Commercial
He really is 'one of those'.
IN PATON I TRUST.
I'm noticing that there isn't much NFL news and the MB has slowed down here as a whole during the off-season. I was going through this thread and noticing that there are many good videos buried amongst photos and comments. Why not separate out the vids into a different tacked thread?. This way the viewer will not have to weed through all the pages plus the thread author can edit the original posting...thereby allowing the TA to add others' vids to posting#1.

Although this is not a video, I thought this thread would be appropriate for this:
http://blog.denverbroncos.com/jsacco...aching-mantra/
I had the honor of introducing Sandy Weese, widow of one-time Denver Broncos quarterback Norris Weese, at a fundraising banquet Saturday night.
Nearly 20 members of the 1977 American Football Conference champion Broncos came back for this dinner, including quarterbacks Craig Morton and Craig Penrose and, of course, Sandy representing Norris.
That made the occasion the first function in history to have all three quarterbacks from the 1977 championship team represented by attendance, and it was a great night all around.
Speaker after speaker cited Red Miller, the legendary coach who brought the group together for that magical championship season.
Over the course of getting ready for the banquet and other communications Red sent me a note on his personal stationary.
I hope he won’t mind, but I would like to share the mantra that appears on the stationary of this great coach. It is a small insight into the mind of a great leader, and quite frankly should give everyone who reads it something to think about.
Under the header of “Coach”—
It’s not about the whistle
Or the uniform you wear
It’s more about the sportsmanship
And values that you share.
It’s stressing skills and teamwork
Over victory and fame.
Why coach? It’s for the players—
And because you love the game.
Coach, it was wonderful to see you again, and see you honored, respected, and loved by your players.
The evening ended in a manner only appropriate to this team, and to that time, as fullback Jon Keyworth took the microphone to sing his 1977 local hit single, “Make Those Miracles Happen.”
It was a tribute to a special day and time, to a special player and man in Norris Weese, and I deemed Red Miller’s words from his letterhead worth sharing with all.

I was sitting in the corner of the endzone where Rod ended up in the highlight in Oakland at starting @ 17 seconds.. It was dream come true. In Oakland against the hated Raiduhs, Monday Night Football, and was able to watch a vintage elway comeback in person!!
Priceless..
