Yes, very familiar with Caravan, Slick. The best band of the Canterbury Scene IMO

Do they sing about a golf course and raining golf balls?

I listened to a King Crimson song on Spotify. Wasn't too bad.

The Night Watch is great! And, how often do you see a tune written about a freakin' Rembrandt painting?

Court of the Crimson King is interesting.

I sort of picture Dreadnought as a nerd playing Dungeons and Dragons, though.

King Crimson doing a superb David Bowie cover. NB - Robert Fripp also played guitar on Bowie's original recording

I am at a loss for words. I saw them in June with my brother, and it was a very good show. This one was excellent. It was a better venue, better acoustics, only about 1000 seats. The musicianship was dazzling. I have no other way to put it. These guys know their craft, know each other, and are still on top of their game. They played amazingly complex pieces flawlessly seemingly effortlessly. It was obvious they enjoyed playing with each other I used to think Jakko Jaksczyk's vocals were a weak spot, but I have changed my mind on that now.

My only complaint is that from my seat I couldn't really see Robert Fripp very well, given as how he plays over in a corner

Dread, did you ever hear some unsavory King Crimson rumors? I heard some seriously fruity stuff in a youtube comment. MO told me that's a good unbiased source for that kind of stuff. Hi MO.

Anyway, this is what I'm listening to. Oddly, Wikipedia recommended it to me based on having read McCammon's Swan Song. Visionary post-apocalypse stuff. Anyone ever listened to this? Has a 'cult' following they say.

Dread, tell me of your King Crimson journey.

On Maynard's suggestion, I bought the King Crimson box set, 4 discs. I enjoyed it but focused my attention on disc 2 in particular (a lot from Larks Tongues, Starless, and Red).

Which albums moved you? Tell me the arc of your fandom.
