I don't get out to movies as much as I'd like to anymore, so my only two MUST SEE movies left this year are Prometheus and The Dark Knight Rises. The others would just be icing on the cake at this point.
Someone tell me the premise of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter? It's a graphic novel, right?
No, it was an actaul novel. I think it stemmed from the popularity of books like Pride and Predjudice and Zombies: http://www.amazon.com/Abraham-Lincol.../dp/0446563080
The premise is the title. Abraham Lincoln hunts vampires. I have no clue beyond that, never read the book and probably will just wait to rent the movie unless it gets good reviews from my friends who I trust and see just about everything.
come on, midget, use your ****in' imagination! what do you think the premise of "abraham lincoln; vampire hunter" would be? seems like it should be pretty self-evident. . .
i just saw the commercial, and wasn't sure if it was serious or not. . .
now prometheus. . . seems like i only get legitimately excited to see a movie a few times per decade. . . i am legitimately excited to see this-- looks like it has vast potential. . .
Tell me this guy couldn't kick some serious vampire ass.
Go ahead...
Got my 3D tickets for Prometheus on Sunday, and came across this trailer for the next Tarantino movie. After Inglorious Basterds, I'm looking forward to seeing Christopher Waltz again.
I think they chose Abe Lincoln for the book, mostly due to the era. One of his friends and advisors in the book is Edgar Allen Poe. Prety good choice for advice on dark stuff and he wouldnt have made sense in a GW story. Im sure this isnt the only reason, but in general, the era seemed to work out rather well for the book.
