On one of my 3 crab apple trees a mother robin has a nest and there's three little robin eggs. I think this is the same dumb mother robin who makes a nest in the trees in the spring only to have my cat Spooky raid the nest. Every year I see dead baby robins in my yard and I feel sad for them. I hope these little guys make it.

Maybe I will take a picture when I get home of the nest and mother robin warming the eggs. Who wants to see it?

i'd like to. how long does it take between the time the eggs are laid and the chicks hatch? does your cat eat the baby birds? apparently not all of them huh? I hated finding baby birds alive. hated it.

Nut, I looked up the gestation period of a robins eggs. They will hatch w/in 12-14 days and will leave the nest 14-16 days after hatching.

Last year we found an abandoned baby bird in the yard and my son wanted to save it so I went to the store and bought some fishing worms but the bird did not eat them and I told my son he will die.

    That was sad Nut.

I wasn't able to take a picture of the nest Nut. I startled the mother robin who flew from the nest and started squawking at me.

I'm going to leave her alone.

Sneakers you should go out there and rip the head off of one of those and eat it. I bet it'd be delicious.
