    Paxton will be solid.

    People just find the move wasteful, since Leach has been nothing but solid, and a true pro.

    McDaniels hasn't had a lot of experience as a coach, and even less so as a head coach, so right now, the source of his confidence is an unwavering belief in the system he knows. That's why he tries to act like Belichick, that's why he needs to build a similar offense and defense like he had in NE, that's why he wanted a Kevin Faulk type RB, and that's why he wears his own hoodie. Bringing in familiar faces, specially a long snapper when there was a perfectly good one in the team, is his security blanket.

    Leach was just a casualty of a coach wanting his own players. That happens a lot in the NFL.

    Precisely on point he wanted seed corn so to speak as we have along way to go and a short time to get there..

    SO Knowledgeable or players not in/with the losing attitude that DEN has had the past few years is what he needs to help change the team around..

    couldn't he find some defensive linemen for seed corn, instead of a friggin' longsnapper-- when we already had a perfectly good one under contract for less money? why not bring in some guys with a winning attitude that also happened to play a position we needed?
    “When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

    leach was an emergency TE...

    and paxton knows the culture, knows the system...

    great post, I was going to say much the same (but I wouldn't have done the math part...too complicated...).

    I will add a little math though,

    Paxton = 3 superbowl rings

    Leach = 0 superbowl rings.

    might be just a long-snapper, but you can never have too many rings in a dressing room.
    If not me, who?
