I agree with everyone here. I wore my tape out of the first Beastie Boys album. "No Sleep Til Brooklyn......MCA on the mic"

I'm not much into rap but the Beastie Boys were the exception. I can't believe he was 47.....I thought those guys had found the fountain of youth.

    Damn.....death sucks!

So glad I got to see these guys in concert.
Thank you MCA and the Beastie Boys for some of the best music!

I've never been a big fan of Rap but I still remember listening to the Beastie Boys as a kid. You Gotta Fight For Your Right To Party was one of my favorite songs as a young fella. Anybody in my age group had a favorite Beastie Boys song at some point.

I'm not too big on Coldplay, but they did a tribute at their show last night apparently. I shed a tear at the end.

That's awesome. I love unconventional covers. Yauch would have loved it.

The Beastie Boys are awesome. RIP.

The Beastie Boys were so instrumental in getting me into music period. From the pre-License to Ill days when they opened up for Reagan Youth, to Post DJ Hurricane and Hello Nasty, all the way to the present. The music world lost someone who was so innovative and creative it will be felt. I'm proud to say that I was able to see the Beastie Boys a handful of times live, and they never disappointed. My brothers and I were talking about our memories of their music, and how much they helped us by either bringing up our spirits, or just knowing that there was some good tunes to jam out while hanging with people.

What does MCA stand for? Does anybody know what 'MCA' means? also does AdRock have any meaning to it? I've been kinda curious for a while what MCA means. Anybody know?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm speculating that AdRock is short for Adam (Horovitz) Rock or something like that.
    MCA stands for MC Adam.
