Default BroncosForums mobile access options and apps for Iphone, Android and other mobile devices

There are multiple options for accessing BroncosForums.com from your mobile phones.

    First, the BF Mobile app

This is the free app created by vBulletin and licensed by BroncosForums.com that allows access to BroncosForums from your Iphone & Android devices (made for phones, but works on tablets).

    Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...etin.build_166

    Iphone/IOS: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bronc...7873?ls=1&mt=8

    Second, Forum Runner app

BroncosForums is now listed in the Forum Runner app. This is currently a more full featured application than the official vBulletin app. The read only app is free, the fully functional app is $1.99 (the money goes to Forum Runner, not BroncosForums.com). This is the mobile app I personally use.

After installing the app, you run it and then choose the option to search for a forum and enter Broncos Forums. You can then save it as a favorite to access it quickly in the future.

    Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id.forumrunner

    Iphone/IOS: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/forum...362527234?mt=8

Forum Runner says that they will release Blackberry and Windows Phone apps in the future.

    Third, BroncosForums mobile site/style

You can switch to the mobile view, which is more streamlined and loads faster on your mobile device. To switch to the mobile style, go to the very bottom left of any page on BroncosForums.com and choose the "Default Mobile Style" from the drop down box.

Forum runner is really snappy. I'm liking it a lot. Got it on my iPad.
Have the free version on my Android phone, having an issue with my Google account, so I'm unable to purchase it for now.
Well worth the 2 bucks though.

Agreed. It's become my go to app for accessing BF on my phone or Android tablet. Well worth the $2 for the full app.

If I had Forum Runner going first, I'm not sure I would have bothered with the $200 a year vBulletin Iphone/Android apps, since they cost a bunch each year to offer to users and don't work as well as Forum Runner.

Does the forum runner app have the ability to search "New Posts" and do high fives?

That's what I use 99% of the time.

New posts, yes (they call it "current"), but no mobile app is going to support hi-fives, because it isn't a standard vBulletin feature.

Just as a bash vBulletin's mobile app, they released version 1.3. I've configured and uploaded BF Mobile 1.3 for the android, and it should be appearing in the Android Marketplace (now Play store) shortly. I will attempt to get the Iphone app uploaded this weekend, where it will then have to go through the approval process. You have to upload IOS apps using an Apple, which I don't have, so I made a Apple virtual machine (VMware). However, not long ago I reclaimed the machine it was on to install linux, and found out that the Apple VM will not run on an AMD, which is what my current desktop is.

So, I have to either swap out the hard drives to bring windows back up on the Intel and get the VM running, or see if it will run on my laptop. Either way, I hope to get it sorted out this weekend, and then the new Iphone app should be available for download in 1-2 weeks, depending on how long it takes Apple to approve.

I forgot, Forum Runner does allow you to give High Fives. However it shows as giving 'thanks' for the post. That's because the underlying mod I used for the hi five system is called a post 'thanks' system. So, if you give thanks for a post in forum runner, it will show on the full site as you giving a high five.

Finally got the full version ( forum runner) on my Android. Guess I don't have much use for tapatalk anymore.

For anyone considering this for their Android or Apple device, I highly recommend it. Sooo fast!
