Denver selects. Poe, dt . Hightower, lb. Miller, RB.
That's a damn good second rd.

If you think Poe is going to still be there in the second and if you think a low 1st is going to get two seconds, I'm guessing this is your first NFL draft.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
Hmmm, the Rams have the 33rd and 39th picks in the second round. Trading those two picks for the Broncos 25th pick in the first round is way overpayment for the Rams. How about the Broncos trade the #25 overall pick for the Rams 33rd pick/2nd round and 65th pick/3rd round? This is closer to fitting with the draft value chart (see attached) but still has a gap favorable to the Broncos.

Yes, a low first for a 2nd and 3rd is more plausible.
That would give us:
2a. 33rd overall (from STL)
2b. 57th overall
3a. 65th overall (from STL)
3b. 87th overall
4a. 108th overall (from NYJ)
4b. 120th overall
5. 137th overall (from STL)
6. 188th overall (from NYJ)
Interesting that we would be quiet in the early and late parts of the draft but active in the middle rounds. Not necessarily a bad strategy in a year where there is not a lot of great talent in the first and much of the value could be found in the middle rounds.
I could see a DT and RB in the second, other needs in the third and fourth with the last two picks being projects.

Poe is French Polynesian for BUST.
I am a broncos fan. I believe in mile high magic. I bleed orange and blue. I celebrate the orange crush, the drive and the Mile High Salute. I create the Thunder. I Share the common dream and will forever be a proud citizen of Bronco Country!
Did this actually happen or is it a mock/wish? Many people thought this actually happened based on thread title.
Tned, there's no corresponding evidence of fact and the post appears to be in "Draft and Free Agency" (I don't know if it was moved to there). More than one of us has chimed in that such a trade is unrealistic since the Rams would be giving up a lot just to move up eight spots.

Don't know if the thread originator changed the title but it is "Mock Trade Scenario" now![]()
As it should be. thanks to whomever fixed it. Broncs don't be a doosh.
My bad. Sorry to get everyone's hopes up lol
Notice that this idea doesn't even bother to mention that key point? Why do you think that the Rams won't just sit there and take 2 2nd round players? Who's so great at #25 that they just must have him.
It's not even worth evaluating the trade points value for each team to see if it's realistic when there's not even a plausible reason why the Rams would want to do this in the first place! In short the entire thread is utterly ridiculous.![]()
Doug Martin? Maybe the Rams wanna get in front of the Giants to get the 2nd best RB in the draft. That's as plausible as the Rams taking one pick to two comparable picks.......
2- Damontre Moore DE
2- Christine Michael RB
3- Da'Rick Rogers WR
4- Quanteris Smith DE
4- Xavier Nixon LG
5- Nicholas Williams DT
7- Rogers Gaines OT
Cfa- Latavius Murray RB
Cfa- Nathan Stanley QB
Cfa- Marcus Cooper CB
Cfa- Ray Polk SS
Cfa- Brice Butler WR/CB
I might even sub Michael Buchanon for Da'Rick Rogers and draft 3 DE's. Denver has exactly zero RDE's atm, Q Smith might have to start season on the Pup and Ayers is going into contract season.
