If we take Brace at 18...

I think people should stay away from him altogether, but definitely not in the first round, and absolutely not at 18.

dorell scott is actually a better prospect than brace in my mind, in fact if clemson didnt have such a bad year clemons, hamlin, scott and aaron kelly would all be talked about much higher than they currently are.

if clemson performed well last year there would have been much more limelight on scott and he would be looked at in rd 2. same with hamlin and clemons. heck aaron kelly should be a 4th rd pick.....
    Denver's 2024 George Paton Draft/FA plan

    Draft
    RD1- TE Brock Bowers, GA
    RD3- QB Spencer Rattler, SC
    RD4- CB Josh Newton, TCU
    RD5- S Reggie Pearson, OK
RD5- C Michael Jurgens, Wake Forest
RD6- K Jonah Dalmas, Boise St

So, if they have this many great players on the team...then what is the excuse for having such a poor season?

Jerry? Well, Jerry isn't a nose tackle. So, there.

A complete coaching fiasco which lead to a multitude of other lingering problems.

I also love Clemons, the OTHER Safety from Clemson.

That would look pretty good to me if Raji is off the board by then, which is
definitely possible. I would make an exception of Bussey in Round 7, however,
since they have signed Brandon Gorin, and Polumbus has shown himself to be
a solid backup. I think I would scour the defensive candidates and see where
there might be a dark horse lurking in the shadows . . .

Coaching, they had so many indecisions about what they wanted to do...on offense and defense. there defense looked like a slowik college system....lol

and there offense downgraded mightily after the coaching change. trust me whoever score clemons, hamlin, scott and kelly, is going to be very happy about it.

So then why would I draft talent that has been poorly coached over talent that has been well coached?

Their floor may be lower, but their ceiling is higher.

no worries, the problem was different coaches and a mid-season change more for instance scott had dominating sophmore and junior years, kelly had a dominating junior year, clemons and hamlin have had dominating years as full time college starters.

my point about coaching was maybe the coach was just a bad fit for what was in place at the time, perhaps clemson should have stuck it out untill the end of the season....

Clemson was horrible but the production from those players during that time is still pretty amazing....i can not overlook what they did prior to that as it was also very good.

so for me there stock is low becasue of the team they were on not so much there talent
