Thread: Ass Clevage in Avatars

Mods and TNed. Is this appropriate under the CoC? I'm all for pushing the envelope, but I don't know if this is appropriate in all parts of the forum.

I guess when the plumber doesn't come into my house and show it, we can say that 'ass cleavage' isn't appropriate to see in public places.

I am 100% sure I don't want to see any of your ass cleavage in an avvy. I hope I was crystal clear there. As for the rest, I will enforce community standards, whatever they eventually are.

My only gripe is making sure avatars are safe for work. Since this is my favorite break/compiling activity.

We've discussed this issue recently (what a coincidence that you bring it up Thnikk. . .). The moderating team decided to let it go, but we would certainly welcome feed-back. If the community decides that they don't like it, then we'll do whatever the consensus is.

It would seem to be right on the borderline of appropriate. I know we've asked others with more explicit photos in their avatards to remove them, and we did discuss this one quite a bit. This is a "gray-area" decision to me personally, but this is a community-centered forum, so like I said, we'd love to hear feed-back.

I want to see it.

The rule I stand by is if my boss walked up behind me and saw that picture on my screen, would I get into trouble. If yes, than it isn't appropriate.

If the avatars weren't hosted on broncosforums.com, I would just block avatars that wouldn't be appropriate by that rule. Unfortunately, they are, so its an all or nothing for me. The hot women avatars are usually borderline for instance, Dogfish's previous avatar was a little too racy. I found myself scrolling my browser so that it wouldn't appear onscreen while browsing at work. I am finding that I have to do the same with Ravage's current avatar.

I am hoping that this is not coming off as a personal attack against anyone. I just want to be able to read peoples posts without the worry that someone thinks I am looking at porn at work.

Let me refresh your memory.

OK, I'm getting a little upset by this thread, so I'll try to calm down a bit.

First off, you can go into your user setup and turn avatars off. So if you don't want to "Risk" seeing a little unauthorized cleavage, then there's your route to success.

Second off, if anyone is concerned about their boss looking over their shoulder and seeing a little skin - stay off the freaking non-work related websites while you're at work, or if you absolutely can't do that, see option #1 above.

Third off, sometimes you just gotta let boys be boys, or men be men. That can include seeing a cool broncos tat on a great backside as far as I'm concerned.
