It's all in how the meat is handled after the deer is shot. That axis I shot at 8:01 PM. We hung it, skinned it, de-boned the meat, and put the meat on ice in a Yeti cooler by 9:30. For two or three days after I shot it, I would drain the bloody water out of the cooler and pack it with fresh ice. After that I took it to get processed. If you process a white tail like that, the meat will be great.

I hit a deer last night leaving work. off of the passenger side front fender area. I saw it coming into view (it was dark of course) right before contact. and let off the gas. unbelievably no damage to the car and no sign (hair, blood, semen) of hitting the animal. needless to say I am pretty relieved about that. love my chevy impala with no car payment and 165k on it because of my prudent maintenance habits. I'm sure a broken bone or dislocation for the deer, but I think he or she may have survived. went back to look for a struggling animal, but no such signs.

Thanks buddy. It was completely fine for me and car. I totaled my last car (just paid off) by the same situation

The Bears sent me a letter and told me they gave up.

This was my last deer I shot back in Maxbass, ND. I only had a doe tag. I miss North Dakota. I was really happy there.
