SR.....What ranch did you shoot that deer at? You can hunt those type of deer year round? I like the beard.

It was a family owned ranch in Harper, TX called Triple E. My buddy's wife's family owns it. It doesn't get hunted much. They've got some doctors from Houston that go out there for white tail during deer season, but that's about it. Occasionally they'll get someone out there for fallow or axis.
In Texas you can hunt exotics year around. The populations aren't managed. Axis are considered to be an invasive species. A lot of the high-fence ranches out there have axis, but there's also free-range axis in the state that supposedly can be hunted on state land with a permit. I haven't looked in to that much though.
