I miss more than Michael Bay missed the mark
When he made Pearl Harbor.
I miss you more than that movie missed the point.
And that's enough a lot girl. And now, now you've gone away
And all I'm trying to say is Pearl Harbor sucked...
and I miss you.
I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting schools
He was terrible in that film...
I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part
He's way better than Ben Affleck and now,
All I can think about is your smile and that shitty movie
too...
Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you...
Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?
I guess Pearl Harbor sucked just a little bit more than I miss
you...
One of the funniest reviews I have read about Transformers 2:
http://www.mountainx.com/movies/revi..._of_the_fallen
an excerpt:
What we have here is the cinematic equivalent of a drunk relative at a family function. He won’t shut up and appears to be completely oblivious to the fact that he’s being offensive. That sums up the movie—and Bay’s Neanderthal career. Everything is big, loud and dumb to a spectacular degree.
Ok now I see the meaning of this thread, and I co-sign.
His movies, when they're not remakes of previous incarnations, can be enjoyable at the moment. I liked Face Off a lot. I like both Bad Boys films, but mostly because of Martin and Will. I liked Armageddon when it first came out, but it paled in comparison to the lower budget Deep Impact. Pearl Harbor's story was so bad, I was BEGGING for the Japanese to attack.
But what he did to the Transformers is criminal!!
SPOILER ALERT!
He destroyed the conflict between Megatron and Starscream. Starscream was a favorite because he had personality. If Bay did it right, Starscream could've had a much more meaningful role as an accidental disruptor to the Decep's plans. But instead, all Starscream did was fail Megatron once again. Sheesh.
Jetfire was actually cool. Too bad he got lost in the plot.
Devastator's moment on screen should've been THE dramatic moment in the movie. Have the Autobots turn the tide of the battle in their favor before Megatron gives the command: "Constructicons... form Devastator!" and have the big lug lay the Bots to waste before Prime saves the day, just like 1986. But instead he had five trucks combine to form a metallic husk of junk that's only purpose is to climb a friggin pyramid? Megamaid's transformation in Spaceballs was more dramatic than Devastator's.
And even his ripoffs of the 1986 films are bad. Optimus kills a Decepticon the same exact way that Megatron off'd Ironhide in the 1986 film. But funny, I never remember Optimus paying homage to Charles Bronson.
Michael Bay... you suck Devastator's balls... and those that saw the film know that I'm not making Devastator's balls up. Robot testicals?! The **** dude?! The ****?!

I won't watch any movie that's not in black and white. The shit coming out as of late is total garbage - If there's no Sidney Poitier it's not a good movie.

Basically how i am. I know there are a lot of cartoon and comic geeks who get really wrapped up in how these movies portray their favorites but ive never been a huge X-men and Transformers kind of guy so the movies just turn out quite entertaining to me. I suppose the only movie i would watch with a closer eye is "Voltron" if they ever did one. And yes, i like the one with the cats more than the vehicles.
