Nut, you often seem to ask everyone advice on purchasing decisions but never seem to actually make a purchase.
You need to start buying stuff.
I don't anymore. I had a bike when I was a kid (as I posted earlier). I used to ride on a track up behind horsetooth lake (in Colorado) and a few others close by. I was thinking about trying my hand at motocross, but a friend of mine got hurt doing that, so I changed my mind.
I wouldn't be opposed to buying a harley or something like that. Another friend of mine owns a '69 softtail....it is a badass bike.
I just want to get around on a nice ride. If I had the means, I'd probably get a Beemer. I certainly have nothing opposed to HD, but I don't know what's so damn great about Harley Davidson honestly. It seems like almost a cult mentality. I dont' know about you, but what I ride or drive has no bearing on the man that I am.
Do you take the highway at all on your commute? How fast does your hogg need to go?
My commute is 5 miles one way. Max speed limit is 40 MPH so my 125 cc Yamaha Riva works well. Actually I feel like kind of a badass passing people sometimes.
Whatever you do don’t get a Chinese POS.
This may be a little old school for you young pukes, but I have really thought about a "poor mans Harley" or a "mini Harley".

Sound cool, pretty fast and a lot of fun. Had one when I was a kid in the 60's .....
