Sorry I'm not being a ton of help. You've got a pretty specific problem that I haven't encountered. I'm using my best Google-fu to try and get you up and running.

I'm not sure what state you are currently in, but did you try this?

    Close any currently running applications.

Click Start, and type Uninstall in the Search box, and then click Uninstall a program.

Double-click Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile.

Select Repair .NET Framework 4 Client Profile to its original state and click Next.

Once the repair is complete, click Finish.

Click Restart Now to restart your computer.

Install the latest Windows Updates by clicking the Start button, then type Windows Update in the Search box, then click Windows Update.

Can you remote into your desktop from home?

Quickbooks makes that available via their cloud - my wife uses it for her Mom's design business.

    I could, never do though.

Now I am just on a mission because it's flat out pissing me the hell off. I did the command prompt scan. It came back saying that I have corrupt files and gave me the location of the log. Try to check the log and it says access denied. WTF....stupid mother****ing computer is going to end up in the middle of Curtis St after having been beat with a baseball bat.

This can be solved. Not sure if the level of effort is worth it though. If you want, any errors in the windows system log correlating with the install failure?
