Let me go do a cut and paste from Dream's post.

However Sammie Lee Hill from Stillman and Chris Baker from Hampton are both rough prospects that could turn into a good NT with some good coaching. I wouldn't mind using a 4th on either of them.

On the OLB side of course there is Larry English from Northern Ill. Connor Barwin from Cinn. and Cody Brown from UCONN. But the guy I like in name is Javon Belcher from Maine, I've heard that kid can eat a pickled egg or two.

You might be right, but I seem to remember him getting to the QB a lot in passing situations, and I think he could do that better than any backer currently on the roster.

    What made you sour?

We need to make smart picks in this years draft, our extra picks came at a biiiig loss. I would be happy with Maualuga and Jackson if we traded down towards the end of the first.
you'd rather have laurenitis than rey? wow, you didnt watch many games of James this year did you, he should've went out for the draft last year
    Wishlist -
    Rey Maualuga (that right Lynch?)
    Tyson Jackson
    Connor Barwin
    Shonn Greene
    Dominique Johnson
    Terrance Taylor
    Ricky Jean - Francis
    Graham Harrell

In college......he was able to do that.

He's not fast enough.....thus he's a 2 down linebacker. He can't cover NFL runningbacks......he sure as hell cant cover a Tight End.

Andra Davis is pretty much equal to Rey Maualuga with the exception of age difference. We don't need Maualuga.

Maulagu would be a beast here. His playing speed is faster than you think.

He still can't cover a Tight End or runningback.

    Rey Maualuga = Andra Davis

It makes me cringe to think of SD with Maualuga. Merriman has apparently lost
an edge, and we see a little relief there. So they end up with another one?
Take Rey Rey and let them have Moreno. Otherwise, I see the Broncos giving
themselves a double whammy: deprive themselves of the stud ILB they really
need and give him to their most serious rival.

    Doesn't make sense.

How many ILB's CAN cover a RB?

    Yep, not many.

So then that makes it okay to waste our #18 pick on a 2 down linebacker?

No thanks....we're good with DJ Williams and Andra Davis in the inside. We need to focus on the D-line and an OLB that can actually rush the passer.

What i value more about rey is his nastiness that he brings... Our defense needs an identity and it needs to be mean. He is a perfect centerpiece to have for a defense looking for that kind of attitude.

We have lots of leadership now, dawk, dj, champ, andra but we still dont have any mean in your face mothers...Thats why i like him most.. Not only can he fire up the team, but the crowd too.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I disagree. There will be lots of teams that become sorry they passed on a chance to draft this kid. I think this defense would greatly benefit from a player of his caliber. We need someone nasty, mean and vocal to lead. I don't see Davis as being that. If we decide to pass on him, I hope you're right and I'm wrong.

your seriously comparing Rey to Andra Davis?

The most common comparision of Rey Mauluga is to Rey Lewis,

Wouldnt you like a Ray Lewis on your team?
