Not really (just a few rumors and player name drops), but after reading McDaniel's interview with CBS4; he made it pretty clear that every facet of our team (offensive, defense, special teams) can be improved. Obviously, I think we'll see a little more emphasis on improving defensively, but there is no doubt that there are places on the offense that could be upgraded as well.

I have never understood the mentality of some of our fans regarding the draft process. Sure, I've bitched and got pissed regarding some picks -- but to say, "If we don't do this or that. . ." and to go to the extent of lowering the quality of our draft or bashing the people in charge of personnel subsequently has always been a mystery to me; and quite foolish.

For a minute, I forgot that round three actually begins Day 2 now -- but even so; we have three picks in the top fifty selections. I can almost assure you that Denver will look to add someone offensively with one of those selections. It's just common sense; not much of a prognistication.

There is a solid chance (I'd say around 65-70%) that he'd be there at that selection. I'd definitely love that pick as well. Moreno is one of my favorite prospects in the whole entire draft; in fact -- one of my favorite prospects that I've ever had the pleasure of watching on Saturday's since I became an avid draft fan.

I think that single position would do more for our team than any other 2 positions on defense.

We dont have to fix our whole team this year, and might not have a chance to get a talent like his for awhile.

I am still angry we took DJ Williams when Stephen Jackson was on the board.

    Im sick of scrub RB's.

ya, I know, but that's just how I see it playing out. maybe not Philly, but there's a good chance there will be a OT or QB at that spot that someone will make a move for. if we stay at 12 I see Jackson, Morreno, Rey Rey, Jenkins (or Raji if he falls, which I doubt) as the likely targets. I'd rather have an extra pick than any of them.

like the rest of the draft though although we NEED a rush LB if we are to run the 3-4
I added an OLB, but I see getting someone for the strong side as a bigger need than a rush LB. we don't need to find every piece in this one draft. give Doom and Moss a look, and if neither pan out--and most of this years picks do--then you go into next draft with 2 1sts looking for that dominant weakside pass rusher.

Hate the Harvin pick. Not so much for the player but the position which i think if we add a WR it can be done in the 4-5th round if needed. If we were going to go offense with the 18th i would take a RB. But even then i think there are some good backs in the later rounds so im really wanting defense in the first round. Also, im fine with Moore but there is no need to take another Safety right after that. Especially if you can get a guy like Hodge in the 6th or 7th. But the other selections are great.
yeah, I didn't expect the Harvin pick to be well received. between a trade, that pick, and reaching on Brace, I expected a lot or readers to pull the plug right there. thanks for keeping on.

I don't really draft Harvin as a "WR" in the true sense--I draft him as a play-maker that can line up anywhere on the field and cause mismatches. he's the kind of guy that if he has the ball in space one on one with a defender, he can score. sure there are WRs later in the draft that could be good WRs, but there isn't anyone that brings the versatility that Harvin does. I think the comparison's to Reggie Bush are apt.

Trade whatever you have to move up and draft Stafford or Curry, apparently the Rams are willing to move down and those tertiary picks that Denver holds will do very little for a team that has no difference makers on the Front Seven and a huge hole at QB.

All of the backup positions are full, trade those picks Doogie.......

    Harvin's Positive Test Confirmed

    http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/...-is-confirmed/

Though NFLDraftBible.com took a lot of criticism a couple of weeks ago, and perhaps rightfully so, for naming six players as having tested positive for marijuana or banned substances at the Scouting Combine, we’ve confirmed that one of the players outed by the web site — Florida receiver Percy Harvin — indeed tested positive for marijuana at the Combine.

The news isn’t a surprise, given that neither Harvin nor his agent, Joel Segal, have disputed the original report.

The impact of the result on Harvin’s draft standing remains to be seen. Smoking marijuana is a fairly common phenomenon; the issue is whether a guy can stop doing it in order to avoid getting suspended.

The fact that Harvin wasn’t able to produce clean urine for a test that he knew he was going to be taking isn’t an encouraging sign.
I think you can drop him from your mock

Stafford will be a bust, he went out for the draft this year because he would've been behind atleast Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford maybe more, i would be more pissed at that than anything else we've ever done if we traded up to draft Stafford, Aaron Curryi would love to have, but i want to stay right where we are, i'd be happy with a Rey and TJAX or two other guys

I think Moreno will be there in the early 20's, Beanie will be picked before him i think, but i hope its not by us moreno is the best RB in this draft, i was very opposed to drafting a RB from the start, but now i think maybe Moreno would be a good pick, but im still hoping we go defense
