The Broncos will talk to free agent QBs Caleb Hanie and Billy Volek about backing up Peyton Manning, according to the Denver Post.

    Thanks MasterShake!!!

Hanie is not an NFL QB - I think he made that abundantly clear as he nearly singlehandedly ruined Chicago's playoff hopes last year. Beyond that, he is a loser CSU graduate. I don't want him even setting foot on Dove Valley property.

Finding a back up quarterback who just step and skip a beat is near to impossible to find. They may not much going for them but they do have experience. I would rather not go into the season with two quarterbacks with no experience. Yes that is assuming we draft one this year.

Yeah, of those two, it's not really much of a debate.

Correction, the CSU Rams effing suck. As does every single QB to ever play for their team.

Good point, because Cody Hawkins and Joel Klatt were so effing awesome.

I don't want to bring either of them in to play for the Broncos either. But as long as we're bringing in crappy locals for tryouts, we may as well let Klatt dust off his cleats.

I don't want any of the crappy locals either. So I guess we agree.

How do you feel about Billy Volek?

He doesn't really excite me, but when you start to look at some of the god awful backups I guess we could do worse... He's better than Hanie or Orvlovsky or Curtis Painter...

I was a little worried yesterday at the end of Elways press conference and they asked him about plan B... To which he replied, "Plan B?! We're going with Plan A."

That would be the type of quote that could come back to haunt him if something goes wrong with Peyton's neck. I hope they don't completely blow it off.
