I am not a fan of video games, but if I had a vote it would be the Wii! I like the golf and bowling with the kids but they also have Wii Fitness, Deca Sports. Wii is a more family oriented.

I am a great fan of the outside as well. Only two things are hindering that.

1 - It's been too cold
2 - We're putting in our yard

In the meantime, they are hooked on Guitar Hero.

xbox sucks...and so does having to pay to play games online.


wii is dumb...my parents have one and they play all the damn time.


PS3 is the best, best games, graphics, blu-ray player, and free online play.

with kids at that age, and also considering the cost, i would go with a wii. xbox and ps3 are 'gamer' systems way more than the wii is. your older kids could probably 'take the step up' to xbox or ps3, but there are plenty of wii games that they will enjoy as well.

Thanks Shaw. We're still shopping so we'll keep this in mind. We're another week or two before purchasing.

I don't like most of the video games made for the XBox and PS3, but the Wii's controller makes the right kind of games much more fun. My wife and I both use the Wii where we have no interest in the others. It's the games and the controllers that make the difference for us, but kids might have a different opinion.

My kids are 12, 9, and 7. They never play the wii. Its boring as hell.

Yeah, that pretty much describes my wife and me. My license plate is 'BORING'. True story.
