Default We need to draft a RB.

We need to draft a RB. OK, the QB situation is sketchy and its kind of pointless to trade Jay only to waste that pick on another QB, who likely wont be ready next year anyway. We might as well draft someone in the low rounds (say at 140, which we no longer have due to our incompetent FO) and let McDaniels develop him. But in the meantime, we need a running game and not a patchwork one. We should draft a RB and then go heavy on defense.

    For sure.

I would prefer Jennings in the third, but I would not be opposed to taking a top back at #18.

I agree lex. We take wells or Moreno at #12, unless someone who shouldnt have fallen did. Then #18 and then on is all defense except maybe a OL,WR, QB mixed in in the later rounds.

    My ideal situation would be

Trade back #12- to mid teens- get an extra 2nd or 3rd. Then at whatever pick we get take moreno/wells. #18 Defense, Defense, Defense. Our 2nd and 3rd should be traded to the panthers for peppers, and our new 2nd/3rd from trading back should go to a fatty like brace, or a S like chung. Our other 3rd from the bears should go to a WR,OLB/DE,CB-

Like my sig states if that happens we will walk away from the draft with 5 Quality IMPACT starters.

A #1 RB, Julius Peppers at DE/OLB, whoever we take at #18 (defense), DT brace, whoever we take with our last 3rd rd pick.

That would be a hell of a draft.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Ive been big on Wells for a while now. I would actually rather trade the 18 down into the 20s and take a center, especially now that the USC guys may have been popped for roids. I dont know though.

We need a Quarterback. 3 months ago our QB situation was the least of our worries, now the most important position on our team is our biggest need.

    - Thanks to Roddoliver for the sig!!

Our QB is Orton or Simms.

Thats why we need to improve other areas. Do you honestly think a rookie QB is going to be better than Simms or Orton?

No I dont. I don't have any confidence in McDaniels to do anything...But if the defense gets solidified with these picks (they better not screw that up either), then it will take off an immense amount of pressure on Orton or Simms. We need a QB in the mid-late rounds so McDaniels can polish that piece of shit into gold

Bowlen has to sell jersey's. I think we get a big name RB this year. Moreno/Wells.

That just conjured a humorous image of walking into one of the stores at the mall that sell Broncos gear and seeing #6 jerseys with "Cutler" being replaced with "McDaniels" at Pats wish.

I would love us trading back and getting Mack at Center or Ugner in second (If he doesnt pan out at Center he would be able to do very well somewhere else).

18 to new englands #24 and third are value at the same as well as our #18 to two of their 2nd rounders and 3rd.

I could also see them trading up to #12 in Raji falls... Which would be grat swapping 1st rounders and picking up a future 1st and a late 1st day selection.

I just hop they do not get a QB...

Its amazing how things change. Ungers ok but his biggest attribute is the versatility you speak of. Id rather get Mack. Our running game is more important now.

Trade back? We already have a lot of picks. Use the ones we have.

Right but at this point we are rebuilding the offense, defense, and ST...not to mention most of our FA moves this offseason were for aging vets or guys that are second-tier players. We can use all of the picks we can get over the next 3 years.
