Anything sung by James Taylor- he could make Zippidy Do Dah a sad song.
for those 40 and above. Do you remember the song that went like this: "Daddy please don't, it wasn't his fault, he means so much to me. Daddy please don't, we're gonna get married.
well, it's about a young girl who gets pregnant by her boyfriend and the father of the girl goes after him with a shotgun and the girl runs in the path of the shot to save her boyfriend and gets killed herself. Pretty sad.
Here is an obscure one, but I don't know if its sad or disturbing:
The song is Old Man Jacob's Well by The Boogiemonsters.
The song is done in two parts, the first part is a young boy who is making his way home and decides to take a shortcut since it is getting dark and he wants to get home before the street lights come on so he doesn't get in trouble. Unfortunately, he runs into Old Man Jacob.
The second part is Old Man Jacob talking about how he can no longer resist the urges to murder young children and drop them in his well.

Ain't no blood clot and no fear
